we sail on Sunday on Disney Magic. We are vegetarian and we were wondering if any other fellow passengers who have previously sailed on DM found the food. We tend to eat in the restaurants. Thank you

I'm a vegetarian. There is at least one vegetarian option for each course every night -- sometimes more. Most of what I ate was very good. As compared to NCL, which I have previously sailed, the vegetarian food on DCL was far superior. On NCL, I felt like vegetarians were an afterthought. On DCL, there was a good variety from day to day and our servers always made sure we were happy with what we had. They were also great about telling me if I accidentally ordered something that had hidden meat (e.g. a soup made with chicken stock). You have nothing to worry about food-wise.

Thank you Jess that's really reassuring as food is an important aspect. Really excited now. X

We are vegetarians and have been on all 4 Disney ships. There is always a vegetarian option at the restaurants and if we didn't like the option they would always make us something special. Palo has lots of vegetarian options and we are always stuffed after eating there so I would highly recommend it!

You can also check the vegetarian box under dietary restrictions. They also have a vegan box you can check.

Another veggie (mostly - sometimes I eat fish) and some of the veg meals on the Magic were my favorite. There was one night in which there were some mushroom raviolis in a broth. That might have been Lumiere's. It was to die for! Don't forget about the pasta pursettes in Animator's. I order that as an entree. Definitely a favorite. There was another dish I had on another night that was a pasta and I just had them remove the meat. Don't hesitate to ask if you see something with meat, but you'd like it prepared without.

The only dining room I wasn't as into was Cariocas. I also had a hard time on the last night (Till We Meet Again, I think?) so on our next cruise, we're skipping that menu and going to go to Palo instead.

They have a really good veggie burger at plutos. Also don't be afraid to order off the kids menu if there is something there you like. Also don't be afraid to order all side dishes.

I'm not a vegetarian but on the menu they always have vegetarian options. If you are a vegetarian that eats seafood, they will definitely have that on the menu as well as vegetarian options.

The vegetarian appetisers and entrees are really good. The only let down to me is the desserts which nearly all have gelatine in them and it can cause a bit of confusion if you ask if a strawberry cheesecake is vegetarian!
The servers are more than happy to check with the kitchen for you though

Thank you that's very reassuring, especially for my nine year old daughter who only gets offered pizza and pasta!!!!

I don't tend to eat much meat and have to say have found some great veggie options onboard. The ones mentioned in Animators and Lumiere's were fantastic! http://www.disneycruiselineblog.com has some menus on so you can have a look and see the type of things that might be on there. Also I was told they can do tomato sauce and pasta if there really isn't anything you like on the menu (never had this problem). The Veggie croquettes on the kids menu are really tasty!

Another vegetarian here. Plenty of tasty food on the Magic! I cruised RCCL recently and found that Disney's veggie offerings are WAY better!
