vegetarian dining plan

Welcome to the DIS! There are lots of us vegetarians who love the World, and I'm sure many of them will chime in.

Almost every restaurant, if not every restaurant has at least one vegetarian option. I've never had a meal I didn't like. Here are links to a few dining reviews by and for vegetarians:

One with pictures!:

My own, not nearly as good, and more DDP-oriented:

If you're not doing free dining, I would really sit down and calculate the cost of your meals to see if it's worth paying for the plan. Vegetarian TS meals are often quite a bit cheaper than ones with meat, and it may be better to just pay OOP. Just a head's up!

But whatever you decide to do, try to visit Boma in AKL. It's a terrific buffet for vegetarians. :thumbsup2

I did calculate it out for us since like you said the vegetarian TS meals are usually the less expensive ones. My conclusion is that in general if you plan on eating at a TS restaurant each day then it's worth it. Also I calculated it based on us not ordering nearly as much food as is included on the plan. It still worked out to be less expensive to get the DDP especially because tax and tip are included. (Although it was certainly a closer margin than for someone who routinely orders steak.) And then it's like getting snacks, drinks, and desserts for free because those are things we don't order much of. We'll just have to remember not to gorge ourselves just because it's included!

So I was thinking about what I ate last yr on the dinning plan being a vegaterian and it seems like it was mostly pasta veggie burgers and sides at the buffett. People always ask me what I eat at home and my respose it,
Soy chichen nuggets, hotdogs, bbq ribs, chichen patty's,corn dogs, bufflo wings, brats, sausage patties, bacon and lots of ground soy(like ground beef) that I make most recepits that call for ground beef and just replace with the ground soy. All of these items have no meat and are almost all vegan(no cheese) and are made by Morning star or Boca. I wonder why they don't offer any of these in WDW at the CS or TS.Maybe there isn't a market out there. 2Yrs ago We went to DLR and at there DTD I was able to get a veggie corn dog.It made ny day. Maybe there are more vegans in LA than FL.Anyways I was just thinking about this and wanted to share.
