I am a creature of habit and we tend to go to the same places and order pasta, pizza or stirfry off of menus. My kids can be pretty picky eaters. Wondering if there are any must try vegetarian options in or around disneyland I may not know about. I remember reading there might be a vegetarian chili somewhere in the park I think. Thanks in advance :)

Veggie Chili USED TO BE available at the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. Unfortunately, it was removed from the menun and is now a special/soup of the day on occasion.

Hungry Bear's fried green tomato sandwich, or supposedly they have a veggie burger on request.

Veggie skewers at Bengal.

Vegetarian Gumbo at Royal Street Veranda.

Tofu and veggie skewers at Paradise Garden Grill.

At Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta they have (several times) left the chicken out of the " Chicken Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta - Campanelle Pasta lightly tossed with Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce" and it was quite delicious. They make it right there so it's not like they are taking chicken out of anything; just not putting it in.

Across the street from Disneyland, Pizza Press.

Tangaroa Terrace's "Tangaroa Terrace Salad - Blend of Fresh Lettuces, Cabbag, Black Kale, Caramelized Pineapple, Grape Tomatoes, and Crispy Marinated Tofu, lightly tossed in a Tropical Vinaigrette. Topped with Toasted Macadamia Nuts."

And they've done a cheese flatbread for us.

If you're good with pizza and pasta, you will have no troubles in the parks. That's the bulk of the vegetarian offerings, along with veggies burgers.

For quick service, I also really liked the veggie tater bake at Flo's in DCA. (It seems to get wildly different reviews, so YMMV.) Rancho del Zocalo can make almost anything on their menu without meat. The Lucky Fortune Cookery (also at DCA) lets you choose meat or tofu.

Most table service restaurants will be able to make you something, if you let them know you're vegetarian. (If it's a more upscale place, I usually let them know in advance.) I've gotten particularly creative offerings from Carthay Circle, where they will throw together something based on your specific likes. If you get the right chef, it can be pretty amazing.

My favorite is at Cafe Orleans:

N'awlins Vegetable Ragout - Vegetable Ragout with Eggplant, Red Onions, Bell Peppers, Squash, Zucchini, and fresh Garlic served with Corn Cakes topped with Grana Padano Cheese. $15.49

It's spicy, but GREAT!

Does anyone know if Flo's or anyplace offers any vegetarian breakfast options?

Also does any place sell black bean burgers?

Thanks!

Flo's has french toast. You could also order the eggs and potatoes without bacon.

All of the places in the park have the same veggie patty except Carnation Cafe. Carnation's patty has white beans in it, but they're not the primary ingredient. Honestly, the veggie burgers at DLR aren't that great. I'd rather have the portobello sandwich at TLT or the fried green tomato one at Hungry Bear.

Agreed. I eat veggie burgers all of the time, and the ones at DLR aren't that good. They seem to use a lot of starch filler, and less veggies and beans.

You can get veg chili in a bread come at the cozy cone with chili. It is not listed, but if you ask for it, they have it.

I feel like that's true of most vegetarian options at DLR. Almost everyplace you go will have something, but it's rarely on the menu. They really could improve in that area.

Are these just the standard / generic "Garden Burgers" brand? (I hope not, but if they are all the same at the entire resort, it seems like the case)

I think so. A ton of rice, a little carrot, and not much else. VERY salty!
