I am going to WDW in December and would like to bring my niece and nephew to WCC. They eat meat but their parents do not. There are no vegetarian options on the dinner menu. Has anyone had any luck ordering something vegetarian there or should I take it off our dining list?

while i havent, as im not one, i do order the pasta dish that i believe has chicken on top of it(sorry memory is a bit fuzzy!). not saying they want to go that route, but if you have it doccumented on all the ressies the chefs are normally quite wonderful in accomidating different dietary needs. i've seen the chefs come out at different restaurants and speak with guest about their needs. and i believe there is stated in most menus that vegeatarian options are available upon request.

There are several apps that look veg, or they could order that pasta without the chicken.

I'm veg and am very used to pulling something together from various parts of the menu, I would imagine their parents are the same. :)

You are correct as it does have chicken but you can order it without the chicken. This happens to be a pretty good dish.:thumbsup2

We did it last week and dd is vegetarian. They offered her the pasta without the chicken.. or something off the lunch menu. I can't remember what it was called but I remember quinoa?
Anyway, dd had the pasta and really didn't like it. I tried it and thought it was good. It had a lot of parm and she isn't a fan, but if you like parm it was decent.
I think for dd the problem was that neither option they gave her appealed to her and she didn't want to be a pain and ask for something else.

Here's what they offer for lunch..

Sauteed Quinoa Cakes - Edamame. cucumber Salsa, grilled Zucchini and Tortilla Crisp - $14.99

When I was there last (I am veg.) my sister and I both LOVED the veg. dish on the dinner menu. It appears to be gone but it was one of our favorites. Maybe they have something not listed? Or maybe they are simplifying the menus some. I am sad to see that though. My sister and I eat places with no vegetarian food all the time we just have to get creative with the menu and the staff. Disney has always been wonderful with this.

They made me a vegetarian skillet when I ate there last year. Basically, it was a combination of vegetables like broccoli, mashed potato, corn etc. It was ok but I wouldn't go racing back for it. I would go racing back for the milkshakes, on the other hand. ;)
