I'd love to take my boyfriend to Napa Rose next June (we may luck out and be there on our 1-year dating anniversary). I'm a vegetarian, and it doesn't look like there's an option for me on the menu posted at allears. Is this normal? Would I be able to get something by noting my preference on my reservation? Thanks!

I'm guessing no one's been in this situation, but would anyone hazard a guess that calling ahead would yield me an opion? I suppose worst case scenario I can make a meal out of sides and a salad- or just drink lots of wine ;-).

My wife is a vegetarian, and we had to choose between napa rose and story tellers. We ended up just going with story tellers, because when I called, they told me she would have to choose between the dishes that are already vegetarian and wouldn't really be able to work with her :/ So we went to story tellers and had a wonderful dinner. She had a build your own pizza and I had filet. And we split a salad. It was a really nice dinner and we enjoyed ourselves, so I just wanted to let you know that can always be an option!

we are vegitarians too. And I was wandering about Napa too. Im not sure usually we have better luck not getting our hopes up. We went to Blue Bayou and there was only one entree that was vegitarian and i think the only reason it was good was because it was in the blue bayou. I was planning to look at the menu so when i find out i will post back.

Good thing with sit down restaurants they will specially make you something if needed. Give them a call and ask to speak with the Chef. Do this at least a few days in advance and you should be fine.

I can't believe that Chef Andrew didn't work with the PP to get a vegetarian entree! That doesn't sound right, at all! :confused3

We have always found the Napa willing to accomodate. You can get some amazing things there. All you need to do is ask!!!! I would indeed call ahead and speak with Chef. Or you can speak with the Manager - Michael Jordan. They WILL accomodate you. Michael and Andrew both are extremely pleasant. We have known both of them since the restaurant opened. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there.

Please give them a try. I would hate for you to have to miss such an incredible experience for lack of trying.

I have been during a regular meal and the NYE celebration and I never had an issue. The first meal I asked them what they had for vegetarians, then they sent some one out to ask what I liked and I think I had a pasta dish made for me. The NYE meal was pre-designed for vegetarians and was AMAZING!!!

I suggest calling them when you make your reservation (they take them directly not through DD) and talking to them about what they can do for you. I have found them very helpful and have enjoyed my meals there.
