I'll be going last week in September and am hoping to eat something other than pasta with grilled vegetables at sit downs and veggie burgers a quick service. Is there anywhere that I should be looking? Last trip we went to Sanaa (Which by the way was WONDERFUL and very accommodating and I absolutely recommend it to all vegs, however it was inconvenient as it's at AKL and we don't/didn't rent a car. If I wasn't going alone I'd absolutely go there again) I'm thinking the restaurant in Morocco is a good choice. Also the Biergarten had a surprising amount of vegetarian options if anyone is interested. I DO know the trick of asking to speak to a chef, but if it's a restaurant that already caters to vegetarians, then there's more product for the chef to work with.

thanks everyone!:hippie:

A good place to start would be the menus: http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

That will tell you what is readily available without having to speak with a chef.

I don't know if you intend to visit any signatures, but they usually have amazing, creative, and interesting vegetarian entrees.

Really?? What were some of the vegetarian options available? My party consists of 2 vegetarians. My friend is very interested in Germany and the German language and has wanted to eat here forever, but we never do because we were afraid it was all sausage and sauerkraut.

For Some meals (hoop de doo< Luau etc) call 1-407-824-2803
They have alternate menus that they can offer. They are very nice. I just got off the phone with them.

Biergarten is great! Last year I had a chef come to the table with me and then walk me around the buffet pointing out what I can eat and what I should stay away from. A little later he came back with some dishes he "whipped" up for me. I loved them! We go to Biergarten every trip and every time has been great for food.

What great info!! I really want to try the cheddar soup at Le Cellier, but it is made with chicken stock and bacon. Oh well. I am so excited about the Sanaa information. We are eating there and Boma on our trip, and I am really looking forward to it!

Marrakesh is really good. The vegetable cous cous has been one of my favorite Epcot meals. Biergarten is fantastic, so many choices. Surprisingly Cape May's clambake dinner had quite a few things I could eat as well. I have loved my meals at 'Ohana. Depending on who makes your meal you can get something that's really creative! LTT has good vegetarian lunch options. You can get their vegetarian pot pie, pasta (ordered without chicken) or a great salad (without chicken).. Love that place. We will be trying Sanaa for the first time this September, but the menu looks great. 1900 PF, CP and Boma are really good buffets.

CS can be pretty good, too. Cosmic Ray's does have veggie burgers, but they also have veggie wraps. Those are actually pretty good! Then CHH has a hummus sandwich, but I wasn't a fan of it. Too much broccoli slaw on it, I think. I couldn't taste the hummus at all. Sunshine Seasons has quite a few options, but I love the tofu noodle bowl the best. SO good! :lovestruc Capt. Cook's at the Poly has an adult grilled cheese which is really tasty and you can order several things "vegetarian" there as well. Like their noodle dish. Yum. And cheese flat bread. Roaring Fork at WL also has a veggie sandwich and a few other things..

Seriously, I could probably talk your ear off on this topic, but I'll stop for now. :rotfl2:

For TS I think Boma is the best restaurant on property for vegetarians, but it's also at the AKL. Tusker House at AK is similar, but I think Boma has a better variety, and is better quality. Kouzzina at the Boardwalk has a lot of good vegetarian appetizers and sides. And La Hacienda, the new Mexican restaurant in Epcot has a seperate vegetarian menu.

For CS I really like Tangerine Cafe and Sunshine Seasons, both at Epcot, and Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney.

They had a very wide variety of "salads" (ie not green salads) I think I had maybe 5? Also mac and cheese in the kids section (one had meat in it, one didn't. It was really really good!) and the bread was amazing. I remember this pretzel bread as well. I was STUFFED but still went back up for the dessert bar! It was our favorite meal! We also got to meet 2 other couples at our table and though we are hateful, jaded New Yorkers, had a great time. I LOVE Biergarten!

Both Brown Derby and Sci-Fi have excellent tofu dishes and the veggie pie at Rose and Crown is delicious.

Hope you find plenty to enjoy.

:)

Tusker House at lunch or dinner has tons of great veggie options. DH and I are both vegetarians, and it's our favorite meal in WDW. Vegetable samosas, marinated tofu, tons of veggie sides and dips and breads and chutneys - love it!
