Vegetable Platter Dip Recipe Needed

I will be putting together a veggie platter and need a dip to go along with it, preferrably something like ranch. If anyone has a recipe to share, I would appreciate it.

I usually get a 16 oz container of sour cream and add 1 packet of Vegetable soup mix. However if its ranch you are looking for, I happen to see packets of that in the chip section of the supermarket yesterday(I was looking for dips myself). Im pretty sure it was the same thing...just add that packet to sour cream.

The recipe I use is real easy! One cup of sour cream, one cup of Miracle Whip or mayonnaise (your preference), and one packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dip or dressing. Stir and refrigerate.

Yummy! My family prefers it to store bought.

This is our favorite veggie dip:

Open a container of Marzetti's Southwestern Ranch dip, pour into a bow, toss original container, serve & take all the credit! Seriously, their stuff is really good.

Not ranch but very good. 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup kraft mayo(NOT MIRACLE WHIP),
1 tsp dill weed, 1 tsp. seasoning salt, 1 tablespoon dried minced onion, 1 tablespoon dried parsley. Mix well and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Do not stir before serving. Susan

Heres what my family likes

1 16oz sour cream
8oz of mayonaise (not miracle whip)
1 box frozen spinach....thawed and squeezed throughly
1 box Knorrs vegetable soup mix

stir all ingredients together, refrig for several hours to allow soup to moisten and flavor mix. This can be served with veggies, crackers or pumpernickle bread.


For ranch style I use hidden valley dry mix added to mayo and sour cream. Its the best ranch ever. The recipe is on the hidden valley dip package.

I bought Knorr's soup mixes the other day to make vegetable dips - glad to know they are good!

16oz container of Publix light sour cream
1/2 cup of Kraft real mayo
1 pkg of Knorr's Vegetable or Spring Vegetable Soup mix

Kind of the same as everyone else's. My aunt also adds spinach and chopped water chestnuts.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Southwestern Ranch Dip.....craved it like crazy when pg! Love to eat it with cucumbers and bell peppers. MMMMMMMMM!!!

here's one that our family loves with veggies..not a ranch dip but I will throw the recipe out there anyways...
1 cup miracle whip
3/4 cup bbq sauce (whatever kind you like) use only 1/2 cup if you want a thicker dip
2 tab sweet pickle relish
1 hard cooked egg..chopped finely

Mix all together..add salt & pepper to taste..chill well...and serve!
