My Dh and I are going to Salt Lake City by way of Vegas. any suggestions of must do things. WE will have rental car and are staying on strip and near downtown in SLC. Hard Rock is a must stop for me to add to my t shirt collection.

If you love Elvis, go to Elvis-A-Rama....or whatever it's called. If you love Star Trek, go to the Hilton for the Star Trek experience. If you like free porn handouts, just walk on any sidewalk along the Strip....LOL! If you want to see the world's largest gold nugget, hit the Golden Nugget downtown.

The Bellagio Fountains are a wonderful sight. Have a great trip!

No need for porn I get enough in my inbox. The others I'll make note of.

HMMMMM...a good suggestion is..... TAKE ME....LOL

If you get the chance go see DANNY GANS.....he is great.
The MIRAGE built a theater just for him.
I never get tired of hearing him.

If you can get a flight come on down LOL. I'm sure my friend won't mind another person at her wedding.

saw the fountians at Bellagio three times, once at night...my wife loves them. Check out the business mans lunch [prior to 4 P.M.] special at the Palms rest at Caesers forum shops...an incredible meal and value. Star Trek the experience at The Hilton is also one of our favs...an incredible simulator ride :) Enjoy, we are just back three weeks or so :)

Star Trek a must...stop by the bar after and chat with a Klingon or two :) I rode the coaster ant NY NY...ouch, talk about whiplash and expensive to do...dunno if I would reccommend. We had a great time..Did an aerial tour of the Grand Canyon while we were there, and Love d the Fountains at the Bellagio and the show at Treasure Island. Loved cruisin the hotel and seeing the goregeous insides. Loved the ceiling in the Ventian, that turned from day break to night, and did the Gondola ride :)

There is something to do everywhere you turn there. Have a great time :)

We stayed at the Venetian...Ya gotta see this joint. Had a stretch limo pick us up and take us to the airport where we boarded a helicopter, flew over Hoover Dam, then landed in the Grand Canyon for a picnic lunch. Saw the Amazing Jonathon, (comedian/whacko/magician), at the Golden Nugget, he's a riot. I've heard he's switched hotels though. Bellagio fountains at night are awesome. Blue Man Group became tiresome for us after the novelty wore off in about 15 minutes. The most fun is just taking a day to check out every resort on the strip, they are all fantastic.

we are usually on a budget soooo...........

Mac King Comedy Show at Harrah's - very good we've seen on two different trips

$2 tables at Sahara - recently remodeled casino

Legends in Concert - if you want a impressionist show

Bellagio fountains :)

Learn how to and play Craps! it's very fun - don't be intimidated :)

DEFINITELY.....Craps has the best odds in the house, it's your best opportunity to win. Most people are afraid of the speed of the game though. When you check into your hotel ask when they have free Craps tutorials available. Usually during the morning hours they will block off a table and use fake chips and teach you to play. Take advantage and learn the basics of this game, it's fun and not really as intimidating as it looks.

If you are thrill seekers, ride the rollercoasters at NY, NY and Paris. Also, ride the freefall ride at Paris. For looking, Bellagio fountains were really neat. The Freemont street experience is also a really cool site as is the pirate battle at Treasure Island. Don't forget to ride one of the 3 monorails along the strip. One of them takes you from the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio.

If you want to window shop, I would suggest the Venetian. They have St. Marks square where there are many stores and eateries. They have gondola rides (like in Venice) along with wandering musicians and even some living statues. Don't just hit the large popular casinos, look for a few of the small, out of the way ones. I found a casino that had 25 cent craps and 50 cent blackjack. Not the most plush casinos but your money can get stretched a long way while still having fun.

Hope you have a great trip.

Big Dude, I think you might mean the coaster and freefall ride at Stratosphere, not Paris. :D

You can go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris, but it is a little pricy, I think it's either $10 or $12 a person.

JEAFL you are correct. I always get Paris and Stratosphere mixed up for some reason. It is indeed Stratosphere that has those rides. :o :D

For a really cool experience-go to the top of the Effiel Tower replica at Paris just before sunset-the sun set off to the west is very cool and you can see it way better from up there than from down on the strip. Then stay up there for the next fountian show at Bellagio-they look totally different when you are looking down on them-you can not hear the music but it is still really nifty.

Try to explore every resort. Each one is like their own mini-theme park filled with stores, Starbucks, casinos, rides and so on. I suggest seeing The Fab Four at the LV Hilton if you are into the Beatles. Lance Burton Master Magician, at The Monte Carlo, was also very good. Go to the top of the Stratosphere! It is beautiful from the top of the Tower, only the hotel was quite "dumpy" IMHO. Like previous posters, go to the Forum shops at Ceasers...for something to do besides gambling. They have some "regular" mall stores there like Express, Disney...but also have expensive designer name stores and products. Have fun and keep an open mind. There are TONS of ppl there of all ages and orgins, much like Disney. ;)
