I was just attacked because I really hate Vegas. Someone
thought I was jealous. I'm not sure of what but that's what
they said anyway. What's your take on Vegas?

Love it. Used to go a few times a year with my parents when I lived at home.

Haven't been in a while but my parents are obsessed with me and my BF going so they offered to send us there next year. We'll see.

BTW, when were you attacked about not liking Vegas?? I saw your comments regarding Vegas in the Ronstadt thread, but I didn't see any comments regarding what you said??

Lol, thats weird that they attacked you for that!

I'm not a big time gambler, but I love the excitement of Vegas. You can stay up all night and find all kinds of fun things to do. It's not just for high rollers.:D

I enjoyed the four days we were there. I am glad I went, but I doubt I would choose to go there again. I am not a big gambler and I saw almost all I wanted to see.

I didn't vote because I didn't fit in to any of the choices.

shortbun, I can see how someone could really not like Vegas. It is NOT a family-oriented vacation spot, at least not the strip.

I've never been, but would like to go someday just to see Cirque.

I have been twice Feb 03 & this past May. My Best Friend lives out there. I love people watching, all the lights, the hotels & the entertainment. Not much of a gambler.

I didnt vote cause I didnt fit into any of them.
Ive been, I enjoyed it, have to go again for a conference. I LIKE it it was fine... it isnt my favourite place on Earth though :)

I LOVE it. I love to gamble. I've only been once and I had good luck. I have an itching to go back soon. :)

Love it, Love it, Love it! Love it so much I became a Las Vegas Specialist. I head there at least once a year, this year it will be 3 times.

I'm definitely a low-roller when it comes to gambling, strictly nickel slots. So they don't get a whole lot of money from me that way.

But I love how the strip is basically a microcosm of the world. The first time I went they were just building the Eiffel Tower at Paris. I love watching the Bellagio fountains. I love some of the buffets - the middle eastern selections at the Aladdin, the unusual wood-fired pizzas at the Bellagio, the made-to-order crepes at Paris for Breakfast. Last year I did the gondola ride at the Ventian, that was a lot of fun. Love wandering through the Luxor, and seeing the lions at MGM. I could spend a whole day with the dolphins at the Mirage. I'm a Star Trek fan, so I have to check out Quark's on each and every trip. If we have the time to spare, the Warp Core Breach is always fun.

My first visit to a Build a Bear was in Las Vegas. And I got some really nice Halloween costumes on sale at the Disney Store there for 90% off.

I usually try to stay at a different hotel each time, but it looks like this year all three trips might be at Hilton just due to great room promotions.

I saw your post in the Ronstat thread. I'm not attacking but I disagree.

Vegas is a vacation spot.

One could argue that any vacation spot is a place for lonely bored people to go pour money down a hole.

When I went to Vegas all those times it was with my family. I never once gambled there until I turned 21. I went once or twice with them after turning 21. Even then, I spent maybe $20 on slot machines each time.

There is a lot more to do there besides gamble.

We had a blast there a few years ago with my in-laws. We got a great deal for 4 nights, stayed at the Luxor (it was great then, have heard it may have gone downhill a bit since), visited every place on the strip, had good food, saw Mystere, and did Star Trek: The Experience, which was the main reason I wanted to go.

We are not gamblers (we never go to AC unless it is for business), but we had some fun with the nickel machines.

I can see that the place is not for everyone, and we got pretty tired of the low lives pushing porn advertisements at us on the street.

I've been three times. I got married there, too. It's a town like no other.

Have zero desire to go to Vegas.

I don't care for it much (because I'm not much of a gambler). I went a long time ago and things have changed so much that I would like to try it again.

However it is low on the list of things I want to do..... I didn't answer your poll because I've been, no big deal, but I wouldn't mind going back! Eventually!

Well I dont really have a desire to go...but its just not my kind of place I guess. I have nothing against gambling at all...just not my thing. There are places that are much more my speed....lol.

I've never been & I'm not sure I really ever want to go. But, I am obsessed w/ watching all the shows about Vegas on the Travel Channel, etc. Guess that's enough for me.

I love it!!:teeth: It is our escape from reality without the kids. Disney is our escape with the kids!:) We do gamble, but we also enjoy many other things. The shopping, restaurants and shows are top notch. I love Wolfgang Puck and there are five of his restaurants on the strip. The Cirque shows are wonderful as is Danny Gans, Celine, etc. Heck, we enjoy taking a stroll down the strip to look at the other resorts. There is nowhere else like it!
