I am not a vegan but my best friend is. We all went to WDW in Dec 2007. She loved it. First thing we did is make a note on every reservation that there were two vegans. Then she completed a food allergy form on line and gave very specific instructions, what she likes and doesn't like. Some of the best restuarants were: Coral Reef=they had rissoto, salad, rice dream = she loved everything. LeCellier= they made her feel so special, she had her own special menu, spring rolls for app, some kind of FANCY veggie stacked thing that she LOVED and home made sorbet. Boma=the chef walked her through the buffet and let her know what she could have which was a ton of thing, all very yummy. And if that wasn't enough the chef made her this very FANCY tofu dish, for dessert he came out with a very FANCY fried banana, toffuti, choc. sauce thing. Again she loved it and felt so special. They really went out of their way to make them happy. These 3 restaurants were her favs. We also ate at Mama Rosas=pasta, nothing special. Chrystal Palace, the chef walked her through the buffet and brought out a huge tofu dish which she did not like, it was soft tofu not firm. She doesn't like soft tofu. As for counter services, some were great and some not so great. ABC Comm. in the Studios was horrible. They had nothing but french fries. Keep in mind that all the french fries are vegan except for the McDonalds carts. She was very happy about this. The Harbor House was very good vegan chili and some sort of sandwhich (hummus, veggies, whole grain bread). Starlight Cafe (Cosmic Rays) not sure of the name boca burgers and french fries. Tangerene Cafe (Epcot) vegan plate (hummus, bread, olive salad, cous cous, tabuli). She loved the food at WDW. I've never seen her eat as much as she did. I think with some planning, you will have no problem finding great food.
