I keep seeing/hearing ads for Veet that claims you won't have to shave for four weeks...sounds too good to be true. Has anyone used this product with any success???

For me it was just the same as any other depilatory. Easier and more pleasant than Nair, but also more expensive.

It lasted about 3 days or so for me, which about how long any depilatory lasts.

I used it and maybe I have sensitive skin, but man, it hurt like the dickins for about 2 days afterwards. I would not ever use it again. Although as the other poster said, it did smell better.

I've tried these non shave systems before and have never had good results. The hair stayed on for the most part and my legs burned for days afterward... maybe like PP I have sensitive skin?

My DD uses it because I don't think she's quite ready for a razor yet but it has a tool that is very similar to an actual razor for when she is ready. :) Works very much like Nair but like others said, it doesn't smell as bad. The tool is handy to have but you don't really need to use it.

I started DD with Veet as opposed to shaving. The fragrance isn't as offensive as Nair and she seems to like it. We buy the green tube of cream regularly. She's tried the mousse and the bladeless razor kit but prefers the cream. I have not had much luck with depilitories myself because my hair is dark and coarse. Her hair is still fine so the Veet works for her.

The smell is better than nair and it doesn't burn my legs like nair did...I am not really hairy, only have to shave once every few weeks and with the veet its about once a month I have to use it.

I don't have sensitive skin and it still broke me out. It only lasted about 2 days then I had to shave. I like nair better

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like you guys saved me a few $$$. ;)

I'm off to the store for more shaving cream and Venus blades...it's tough being a girl, huh????? :p

Looks like you saved me some money too. I too had been considering this product for quite a while. Looks like a standard razor and cream still work the best.

For me it left the hair but removed the skin.

I have to agree with you. It burned my legs sooo bad and even left some small irritated bumps. But my mom uses it and has absolutely no problem, doesn't burn or hurt her, and she gets nice smooth legs... :confused3: So i thought it was just me with this problem, glad to know others are bothered by it.

I HATE shaving my legs! I play sports EVERY season and have to shave at least twice a week! It annoys me soooooooo much! My mom(jme829) told me that she doesnt want me using using Nair because of the stuff in it. But when Veet came out, I asked her about that and she said she would check into it. I HATE using a regular razor because I have a skin condition called Eczema that leaves little red bumps on my arms, legs, and stomach and they itch reallllllllllllllllllly bad! When I use a razor, my legs get all nasty because the bumps open up and ooze out blood. So you could say I have VERY sensitive skin. If I use this product for my trip in September, will it screw my legs up and leave me unsatisfied?????? Thanks! :goodvibes
