VDH Opening

As far as buying VDH....we decided to go with VGC resale a couple months ago. However, and I think I said this in a different thread already, I won't completely take owning VDH of the table for us in the future. If we ever decide we want to travel to Disneyland more often...we'd need more points. And if we aren't able to get a decently priced VGC contract if/when that time comes, we'd probably go with VDH and alternate where we stay each trip. Though if there are VDH resale contracts at that time, I'd probably go that route unless the price is close to direct. (Of course, if our son loves WDW...we would be more likely to buy DVC out there and alternate instead of doing more DLR. So who knows!)

Yes top 35 years. I worked 45 so they toss out my lowest 10. Another advantage of working as long as you can if you have a good income

Ha! Hi Nobody, my name is Nobody. Our next trips are in 42 days for 5 days and a big extended family trip in approx 190 days for 7 days!

Awesome! I don't have the countdown on my phone yet but our next DLR trip after our June 2024 one will likely be December 2025. So....probably close to 1000 days or something. What can I say? I love to plan and I love to countdown to my trips! It makes me happy.

Nice! I'm hoping to book WDW for January soon. Fingers crossed! It will be our very first DVC booking. And then soon our June 2024 which will be our first "Home resort" booking.

Nice! Love your color palette and icon choices! . I love using the widget on my home screen so I can see the countdown for the soonest trip easily and just touch it to pull the rest all up quickly.

There's probably a newbie DVC buyer thread here somewhere it, this is probably a generic DVC question but, since I'm looking to buy my first DVC at VDH I'm hoping I'm not out-of-line asking this here.

If I get what I want (an Oct YU, 2x50 pt contracts, Preferred View Studio) will I be guaranteed to get a Preferred View when I book at 11-months out? This is what prompted my question - "So a ~40% chance of a standard view at the 11 month mark."

No guarantee but I’d bet money that you will always be able to get a Preferred View studio at 11 months out
