VB trip report

I'm glad you had such a great vacation! No VB for us this year, we're doing a DCL cruise with the whole family next week:banana:, and so CC and Cape May will be the family beach trips for us. However, next year....We are hoping for a BC and a few ovirs for the group as we had last year.

I loved seeing your pictures and hearing about your "meets."

So many people say WDW first then VB, but with the cost of BC's on weekends, that doesn't work out for us. I don't have that many VB points and the family wants 4 nights there! We're hoping to "do" the 4th of July next year at WDW, and that's the weekend, with VB before.

The one time we experienced a TS at VB was in August.... I think maybe that qualifies as a pattern.. :)

Nice TR...Glad you had fun! But Please! No hurricanes or TS in August this year!! We're giving VB a try for 3 nights from the 23rd-26th!! I know August is a storm risk but PLEASEEEEE!!! NO-O-O heep beeg storms!!

:goodvibes it's a crap shoot. Best of luck, and even when we experienced the TS it was just a one day thing. I really hope for you all especially, that this something goes right.

Love ya lady. Good luck :beach:

thanks for the great report. we'll be there over Memorial weekend in a studio.

Is the Jungle trail a type of running path? Did they give you any type of walk/run map when you checked in?

Hey Rob, found your TR!

I think dh and i may have encountered the sam CM as you when we checked in, we arrived on the same day. One CM at the front desk, BRENDA, wow what a sweetheart, wish we could have had her for check in.

I don't usually talk to strangers ;) but this time i'm glad i did!!!:yay:

I think I love you...

Aw shucks, I love you too Rob! After all you and starbox are the ones who turned me on to Vero and the joy of the OVIR. We've gone the last 2 years and I'm heartbroken that we will have to skip it this year. I'm sure the fellow beachgoers will be very pleased not to have to watch a 39 YO woman boogie boarding and being tossed about by the waves in some reincarnation of my lost youth. Ah Vero how do I love thee, let me count the waves........

Hey Rob,
Great report I LOL on the No Seeums bites! :lmao:

Did they have wireless out at the pool?

The jungle trail is many different types of paths at different points. In Vero there are many back trails that are kind of trail/ bike path/ vehicle access... When you get further north it is just a bike path that runs along the side of the road till you get to Sebastian (Pelican Island). They don't even speak of the path when you check in. I have never done the path... so, if you do... please pass on the experience.

If you rent bikes you can get a map that outlines the Historic Jungle Trail, that's how we learned about it. We always do the loop, and haven't headed north, but someday, we have to do that.

39... I'm 51 and still daring the waves (ocean) to give her best. This last time there I had one of those front loading washer experiences.... haven't had that for a while. I asked MB if she saw it happen. She said no, but she saw some young man take a tumble and the strap to his board broke.. He left the beach never to be seen again.

It happens... get over it. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

So, I just checked my names database and I don't know your first name... What is your first name my friend?

You don't have to tell if is is awkward for you.

Just glad to have someone who understands my crazy nature.

Seriously, You are a soul mate... Some day I want to be at VB when you are there and WE can be the only two (friends) in the ocean.

BTW... It is not "lost youth"... it is extended youth you are experiencing.

Hey Dave,

Actually, until now I thought you were a woman.....? Maybe confusing you with Mushka (Barb). Nonetheless... Glad to know you are DAVE.

The wireless was flawless and worked pretty much everywhere including the pool. You have to call the front desk to get a password to use it though.

I'd like my 9-year-old to join you -- it seems like the beach is the one place where he is truly happy. He will try to put all the sand back in the ocean, or stand in the waves (in a storm, if necessary) for hours.

We're heading there in just over a week!
