VB Questions (Character Dining/Birthdays)?

I just booked a trip for the end of March to start at Vero and end at WDW! This will be my first trip to VB, my home resort!! I heard that VB has a character brunch offered on the weekends. Is that true? At what restaurant and how do I make dining reservations for that? Has anyone done it before? Is it good? Any other tips for VB? We will be there for 3 full days before driving to WDW.

Oh, also, our second day there (a Friday) is my DD's 3rd birthday! Any suggestions for making it a very special day for her?

Yes, there is a character meal on the weekends at Shutters. If I remember right, you need to call the resort/restaurant directly to make reservations at VB.

It was a lot different than WDW character meals, as a point of reference. I think it was just two characters - Goofy and Donald, and they went table to table. I'm not positive, but I think it was breakfast, not brunch (at least we had breakfast foods only). I think you could order a la carte or a family style all you can eat (we had the family style).

When we went (mid Nov), the restaurant wasn't busy at all. So it was a nice, calm meal vs. some of the frenzied character meals you have at WDW.

We're planning on eating there again in Oct, as we wrap up our WDW trip with a couple of relaxing days at VB.

There is a character breakfast every saturday at shutters. It is a price fixed meal offering as much as you care to eat. Generally only 2 characters, most often it's Goofy & Max and as PP said it's also often Goofy & Donald.
You should make a ressie (you can call the resort 30 days out) ask for dining @ (772) 234-2000.
