VB or HHI end of April 2008?

Have not been to either. DH and I would like to do a weekend trip at the end of April/beginning of May 2008. Which one would you recommend, and why? I know we need to call and book our trip, we just can't decide. Please help!

My recommendation is Vero Beach!!! Went to HH last October and it was okay, we like having the beach right out our door.

If you want to swim I would say VERO.

we have never been to VB but we did go to HHI last year the last week in April into early May and LOVED it. the ocean water was a little cool but overall the weather was beautiful there were no crowds and we had a ball.

We have been to Vero twice but not in April. I would go there again but only for 2-3 days tops. We are trying HHI the last week of April 2008 because we have never been there before and have heard great things about it. I like the fact that with HHI you have a lot of restaurants nearby and it is close to other attractions for day trips. When we went to Vero in June it was so hot we couldn't stay outside longer than a few hours in the mornings. We did go to the mall and museum nearby but there wasn't much else to do. Also at the resort their community hall is nothing like the one at BWV or SSR. Because of our kids ages at the time DD was the only one able to do the activities they had and we all had not much to do. It was great having the beach right there and our room was great so was the restaurant Shutters. I think either one would be good.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It's a tough decision, but I guess whichever we pick, we can do the other next time.
