VB Cocktail Party

We are planning a reunion in June at VB. We were thinking of doing some type of cocktail party at the Green Cabin Room. Has anyone done that? Also, has anyone given something like tickets out to everyone? We don't want to spend a fortune and want everyone to have a "couple" drinks on us. Think that would work?

I've been sitting here for a few minutes racking my brain pondering every possible reason this wouldn't work. There are none. My conclusion is that would work well.
