We just returned from 6 nights at Vero Beach and two nights at Boardwalk.

Arrived at Vero around 2:30 on Thursday and our room was ready!! We stayed in a 1 bedroom, room 1243 and it was fabulous. It faces north and you get some road noise from A1A, but.... turn to the right and there is the ocean. Evenings you can enjoy the sunset from the balcony. The room was so clean it sparkled. We were there for some serious relaxing and that's what we got - great days at the beach, I read 3 books in 5 days, DH got lots of sun in the ocean. Dinners at Shutters were quite good and all the cast members were great.

We went down to Ocean Drive one morning and enjoyed pastries and coffee at Cravings. It is a wonderful bakery that also serves sandwiches and salads. We got salads to go for lunch and they were excellent too.

Left on Wednesday for Boardwalk -- arrived around 11 a.m. and our studio was ready!! We stayed in room 2006 which overlooks a courtyard behind what appears to be a cast member building. It was above the sales office for DVC. An odd location, but perfectly fine. The parks did not seem very crowded but the temperatures and humidity were much higher than usual for this time of year. Cast members said the temps were more like June and the humidity more like August.

All in all, an excellent trip.... and now ... time to plan next years!!

Sounds like a great time! Was this your first Vero visit?

The room you had sounds great. Sunrise and sunset views....what could be better?

This was our second trip to Vero and we hope to return again. Last year we stayed for three nights and left wishing for more time and decided to make it our "major" vacation rather than WDW. It's such a wonderful place to relax.

Thanks for sharing.Glad you had a wonderful visit.:)

P.S. We love your city (San Antonio) and are going back there for 6 days in June to visit relatives.:D

We appear to have similar taste. We visited VB for the first time in April and we loved it. We spent 4 nights at BWV (which we also love) and 3 nights at VB. For next year, we are flipping the schedule. We may even do 5 nights at VB and 2 at BWV.

The Parks are wonderful, but when you go every year, I don't feel as though we need to spend an entire week. My husband and I need a little R&R during our vacation.
