Heading to VB on Saturday and was wondering if they have broadband or dial up internet access. Thanks

No broadband at VB (or HH). Dialup will be $0.35 per local call for DVC members ($0.75 for other guests). Make sure you find a local access number for your service provider.

Enjoy!

You can get broadband access if you're willing to use the PC just off the main lobby...as far as in room- Doc is correct.

The only broadband at VB is the PC in the lobby. I'd skip it. I can't believe they charge what they charge for people to use it. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Hey floridafam.... where is the nearest internet cafe (Panera, Starbucks,Kinkos etc..) to VB? My wife needs to do some work during our upcoming vacation and I assured her that there would be a place around.

Thanks

The nearest internet cafe....my house. :rotfl2: Just kidding.

There is a Panera Bread in Vero. I don't know if there is a Starbucks here or a Kinkos.

I'll think of some and let you know.

I just checked online. Panera's location does not have wi-fi. No Starbucks yet. DH needs to work while we are there next week and even if he pays, I am not sure how long they will let him stay on the terminal in the lobby.

Any other places that I can possibly try? Last time we ended up cancelling VB ressie last minute while at OKW because he had to work and did not want to deal with dial up.

I will call VB today to find out if they know of other places.

Your'e allowed to stay on the lobby terminal for 30 minute intervals. If nobody is waiting for it you can go another interval. I believe it is $5 per interval. I believe the charge is not really to recover cost, but to discourage younger users. Sure wish they would at least get wi-fi in the common areas.

lat,

In my experience, some of the CM's in the lobby are downright rude when it comes to letting you use the coputer for extended periods of time. That's just my experience, though.

The local website for our area that may have some information is www.tcpalm.com

I can ask DH when he gets home if he knows of any place.

I really think the time has come for Vero to get with the program.

lat,

Crispers (a restaurant down in Vero) has wi-fi.

They are on US 1 behind Carabba's.

I sent you a PM

Floridafam,

I got your pm. Thanks very much, I will look into the options. Driving down to FL tomorrow after work, started packing now. Can't wait!!!
