Hi all!
We will be going to VB in April. We have twin boys that will be 13 months. One is almost walking. Should I get them water shoes for on the beach?

I definately would and maybe a pair of sandals (they make knock off Tiva's so inexpensively for children) because when my first born was 1 and a 1/2, he HATED the sand touching his feet. Loved the ocean, loved playing and building in the sand, etc - but not on his feet or he SCREAMED. :earseek: Son #2 rolled in sand from the first time he could get into it and still wants to be buried on the beach, etc. So, just in case, I would get some aquasocks for them. Better to have them than to be on vacation and in search of them!

Walking to and from the beach on the wooded and concrete surfaces can be very uncomfortable on a little feet. Definitely purchase some.

We'll be there in April too...and will definitely have aqua shoes. Even if the sand doesn't bother them...hot concrete sidewalks will.

Can't wait...even with all of the shark talk! lol

One more word of advice - take them with you when you are buying them if you can. Sometimes the opening for the foot is too small if you buy the correct shoe size they normally wear. I have one son with wide feet and its no fun trying to get him into his socks. They fit fine once they were on, but were a bear to get on. We tossed them after that trip and got another pair.
