From pics I've seen it doesn't look like there is easy access to the beach?
Is there much of a beach there to play on with the kids?
(I'm used to Gulf beaches...)
Thanks!

The beach is not particularly wide , as seen in the picture above, taken at low tide. It is unfortunately typical of all the beaches along this section of the coast.

There is "easy access" to the beach, you just walk the walkway behind the pool, and it takes you right to the walkway of the beach. From pool to the beach will be a 3 minute walk.

Thanks Nick. Wow, that doesn't look wide at all. Do people ever go down on that beach or is this mainly just a view to enjoy from up at the resort? Cause my kids would want to get in that sand!

I have a friend who went to VB and hated it. Said she was bored to death, there wasn't anything to do.

I'm content on laying out by the pool while the kids play all day, although my hubby bores quickly. He would be interested in going when spring traning is going on there. (Isn't there some baseball team that practices near there?)

What other activites are there to do, especially for the kids?

Is there a playground and kiddie pool, too?

I'm assuming we wouldn't use our points much on the weekends, so there goes the character breakfast with Goofy, too.

It is definitely not wide. How wide do you need when it's not crowded? Are there kids playing and diggin in the sand? Absolutely. we spend plenty of time there. You can find a very comfortable spot, and not have people parked in front of your ocean view, and have a great view of the ocean, and your kids playing. As far as a kiddie pool, there is a kiddie play area with a pirate ship with water sprays, and a kids slide from the pirate ship for kids 5 and under that is great. There is a playground right next to the poo with play equipment like a couple of slides built into a climb up, walk across the bridge all built into one thing type play equipment in a sand area next to the putt putt course. Try out the un birthday party for kids 4-8 I believe, they'll love it. Our kids are content with teh kiddie pool area, playground, and beach area for vacations, we have a blast.

If you go in the spring the L.A. Dodgers have their spring traing in VB.If you go in the summer the Dodgers have a minor league team(VB Dodgers) that play there.

Yes, people do use the beach a lot. Here is a link below that will answer some of your other questions.

Sounds liek fun, what was my friend's problem? ;)

Are there times of year that are better? In other words, when the most activities are scheduled?

Here's a thread on Vero tips and treasures:

One fun family activity would be going to Captian Hirams (?) and renting a boat or jetskis to cruise the inland waterway. I don't know if it would be more fun to head up north to Cocoa or down south. Links and prices are on the thread above.

I'd say that probably the most interesting time of year is during the summer months when the Sea Turtles are nesting on the beach....

(Course I have never been down there while it was going on...) My family generally goes down there in November or December...

What is the difference between the deluxe inn rooms and the studios? Do any of the studios have ocean views? :)

Inn rooms are in the main Inn building you usually see in the pictures, they have two queen beds, inside cooridors and your pretty assured that you will have an ocean view. Studios have a queen bed and a pull out couch. That can be nice if you want more space during the day. They are located in the three villa buildings, outside cooridors, separate from the Inn. There are only a few ocean views for studios, it's much less likely.

Thanks. So are the deluxe room inn ocean views harder to get at the seventh month window or less? (Beginning of March or during the summer?)
