Vanity Plates - Sometimes I wonder why someone would pay extra

We are thinking of getting one for the popup. It is only $13 extra!
NOt like the $85 more than regular or even double that... depending on the type.

Mikeeee

I was behind a mini-van full of kids one day. I saw the personalized plate but it took me a second to figure it out. Can you get it?

It was: PB4UGO

Highlight for translation: Pee before you go!

Still my all time favorite plate !:rotfl::rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I love it.. did you see that here in Jersey? I so wish I though of that one with all of my kids.

Not sure if it's still the case, but back in the 90's, vanity plates were free in Illinois.

Mine says "SITH LRD". Got a friend a bit irked at me 'cause HE wanted that plate.... lol And here it was I thought *he* had it.... :lmao:

My previous one was Worf I after one of my cats who was named after the Star Trek character.

In NC it now costs $58 EACH year :headache: for having one. Regular plates are, I believe, $28.

Some Trek fans were disappointed that NCC-1701 couldn't be taken as it was part of the "random plates" out there.....

I think a friend of mine saw that "666" car in NC one time.... It was a Porsche. She came up with an opening line of a "story idea" (it didn't get past that line) which was "The Devil drives a Porsche".

I keep seeing a new orange mustang with the plate IKNDI (eye candy).

We have personal plates, I have a Jimmy Buffett plate with PIRYT (pirate, you would'nt believe how many people cant' figure that one out :confused3)on it and my husband has a UNC plate with P8BALL (paintball, he's big into it) on his.

I saw one today that said "HIGHMPG". Apparently with all of the money he saved on gas he wanted to put it to better use ;)

Oh, and here it's anywhere from $10-25 a year extra for vanity plates which I find strange after the first year as you don't get new plates just stickers. I don't have vanity plates. I'd rather spend my $10-25 on gas (or ice cream :) ).

I say spend your money how you want. Me I keep trying to come up with a good plate to do with adopting animals that need help.

We used to have a car with the license plate MAJDAD. My dad was a Major in the Air Force and the car was the same color as his uniform shirt. It made sense at the time. Wish we still had that plate...some jerk stole it.

I once had a BMW with the license plate BMVVVVV...which is what the logo looks like when I speed past you on the highway.

I want to get one that says something like TNKRBLL or TINKGRL. I have all Tinkerbell accessories in my car...floormats, seat cover, steering wheel cover.

I saw one the other day that had "P YOONIT". It cracked me up. :lmao: DBF didn't get it.

I don't get it either.

I have a plate that says Y-ORE on it. It was the closest I could come to the spelling. I got them because they are cause plates- they say "prevent child abuse" on them and the proceeds go to Children's Trust Fund. I've had them since I first got my car at 16.

I often wonder if vanity plates are cheap and/or free in Virginia. I have family up there and it seems that every time I visit I see tons of vanity plates. My uncle's says IMBUMPA. My cousin's daughter was his first grandchild and she called him Bumpa (and my aunt Wawa) and it's stuck around through a few more grandkids. My cousin's says MOMBER (not sure what that's supposed to mean), My other cousin's says MM 98 because his name is Mike, his wife's name is Mandy and they've been together since 1998. His old plate said DENIED since he's a soccer goalkeeper.

I wouldn't mind having one, but I'm not willing to pay the price.

ANML SVR - Animal Saver!

My gramma has a specialized tribal plate with the year she was tribal princess on it (1956).

I thought about getting HLLOKTY since I love Hello Kitty!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I love it.. did you see that here in Jersey? I so wish I though of that one with all of my kids.

Yep. It was right here in New Jersey. I don't know what part of northern NJ you are from but I saw the plate on Route 80. Maybe you'll spot her!

Both DH & I have vanity plates. DH's says 88JR88 for Dale Jr. and mine says MICKEYMA. We love them and they make us happy so that's why we paid for them.:thumbsup2

My husband has one and it says MCJEDI

He is a Jedi knight:rotfl2: and his last name is McCain

I saw this at my church:

My Dad has a 'classic' car and when they moved, they had to get specialized plates for it, so Dad decided to personalize them...R6T6. Our '66, it is a '66 Chevelle. :goodvibes
