Vanishing points.

For no apparent reason, today I discovered that 6 points have magically disappeared from my account. I am absolutely 100% positive that they were in my account yesterday. I was going to book a trip starting august 11th and I had exactly the right amount of points and now I’m short.

Has this happened to anyone else?


Update. Upon further review, the 6 points were un-borrowed and put into the next use year automatically for some reason. I’m so confused as to why this happened but I’m okay with it.

Glad you got it figured out. Yes, points are being unborrowed automatically (covid policy).

The temporary policy applies to all account and they will sweep them up and move them back without asking.

If someone does want them to be kept and not return...especially if they were borrowed before the limit...then they should book with them immediately.

Once back, they now are subject to the 50% rule.

Is this for any 2021 reservation that borrowed points would be put back if trip cancelled?

Currently, yes. It could change at any time, although MS CMs have reportedly said that advance notice would be given.
