I just posted information in the "Rumors and News" forum about this, but I have seen many folks in this forum recently discussing Airfares, so I figured I'd put a link to the post here.

Here is the link to the thread...... I will update there with any news about how you can get your money back.

Doesn't surprise me in the least. Thanks for the info.

Pretty much the only recourse that you have to get any monies back is if you paid with a credit card you can contact them on what you have to do to get the charge taken off your card. It will probably be hard to try and get on the 2 carriers mentioned for flight.

Vanguard was Southwest's only competition for non-stops from Kansas City. Taking that route was a signal that they were getting away from their original business plan though. In a nutshell it was to fly where Southwest doesn't.

I'm not sure when they started the non-stop to MCO. They were using Delta's gates... maybe Delta can start it up again.

I recently helped a friend to drive down and back from Florida to see her parents (she flew me home so I could WORK!!). Due to a death in my family I wanted to get on an earlier flight. We stopped at the airport when we arrived in Orlando. The agent moved me to the earlier flight without any trouble. I was prepared for fees and flack, but he was quick and kind. I returned from that trip saying Vanguard had my business.

I hope they can keep some people working and start again.
