Hello, everybody in Disney. I would just like to vent my opinion about Vanessa. And also, could someone give me a link that says she was fired?

Okay, It's true. We all know what happened to you, and it's too late to fix things. You can apologize as much as you want, but nobody will think of you the way they did. You have almost ruined the High School Musical phenomenon. What about all the little 8-year olds that are your biggest fans? What have you done to them? News says that little kids are saying they do not want to see HSM3 if you are not in it. And you DID mean to do what you did. Nothing you say will change anybody's opinion on that. Yeah, Disney is backing you up now, but you have now given them a horrible reputation, if you end up doing HSM3. Do you even deserve to play the sweet innocent girl, Gabriella? I don't think so. I am also sad and glad that Zac Efron broke up with you. You took those picutres for him, to want him to like you better, but sorry! They backfired.

This is what I posted on the other thread. Everyone is focusing on how she has upset kids and ruined the image. That's very true..but there are financial issues as well. She is potentially responsible for losing Disney millions and millions of dollars. They found her and made her a star, and she'd be a nobody without Disney. Kind of a nice way to repay them..

To the poster who said she's 18 and it's her life and her decisions. That's true..BUT when you represent a company like Disney, you have to act responsibly and uphold the wholseome image. She should hace some consequences for this..she has potentially lost Disney and the High School Musical franchise millions upon millions of dollars. HSM2 just came out and got relatively good reviews..Disney doesn't want peopel talking about this. This potentially affects the third one and several posters here have expressed discontent with the idea of her in HSM3 or not in HSM3. People are upset for many reasons. Hoepfully she will learn and grow and have a nice career, but all people should face the consequences of their actions. She will never again have the same image in the public eye.
On a side note, I dislike the whole "they're at that age where stuff happens" attitude anyway. It doesn't apply AS much here, but this is because there are a heck of a lot of people who worship celebrities, reading everythign about them and supporting them. Some one like Lidsay Lohan for example, is known for liquor, cocaine, crashing cars, and rehab more than her acting now. She is extremely lucky that none of her antics hurt anyone. Imagine if one of those car crashes involved inadvertantly killing a family with small children..I am sure that there would still be people who go "it's okay! she's just experimenting! she's at that age! it's no biggie! she'll grow up and be a great person!"

The HSM phenomenon, is going to die someday. Eithe by repetitiveness of crap, or the actors coming and going for different reasons.
I do see the movie going down hill, the girl who is supposed to replace her isn't any better of an actress than Vanessa is.
Besides, the whole movie is UNREALISITIC.
People who go to high school aren't always cheery and they're probably not going to be like 'OMGGGGGGGGGGG THAT GUY IS A DOING A MUSICAL!!!'
And most people, aren't as 'wholesome' as the characters in the movie.
I'm sure, if they did a dance scene in the movie (as in like a school dance) it would be happy little kiddies break dancing and cheering each other on. That's not even close to what you see.

Ok when did they break up? Lol I don't follow any of those people's stories. I don't really care about the whole thing, its her decision, but it is also Disney's decision on whether or not fire her. Either way, it doesn't effect me. Sure I feel a little sympathy for her but like I said it was her choice.

But you don't always watch movies to see reality. The magic of movies take you into a happy world where there IS no reality, and you don't have to have the troubles of real life. Musicals have always been very popular, and they usually have nothing to do with reality. Like Westside story, Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Cheetah Girls 2, and High School Musical.

I don't hate her. The only reason I think she should be fired is because of what she did to disney, as a poster above said, "she has cost disney a lot of money because of what she did." Well, that's true. Because she might cause the high school musical movies to stop playing. I just think it's not fair of her. As the poster above said, "Disney made her a star. Now that's a good way to repay them.."

I must sayy, all Disney Channel Movies are unrealistic, but they were a lot better in the 90's and the years around that. I joined a Facebook group called "Bring Back the Old Disney CHannel Movies" or something like that and then there was a list of old Disney Channel movies, and I remember practically all of them. If you asked me to name the most readon Disney channel movie other than HSM2 I wouldn't know what it was.

You just put, two very, very good musicals up with two horribly Disney ones.
I see some realistic points in the Sound of Music, and The West Side Story. Actually, the plots in them, are original. Cheetah Girls? HSM? They're just horrible rehashed plots that Disney decided would make them money. And they did, but in no way do they EVEN come near The Sound of Music, which is a timeless classic. HSM, is just a fad.

While I agree with you, especially the last sentence, Vanessa posing nude really has NOTHING to do with HSM. (I'm not directing this at you, I'm just saying I agree with you) Yes, if she is fired they need a new person to play Gabriella. But thats only if they even make a 3rd one.

There is no reason to hate Vanessa. No on eon the thread knows her personally so we can not judge her or know why she did what she did. Honestly, it is no one's business but hers. I bet if I asked a HSM fan why the hate her they would say "because now there will be no HSM3." Well guess what:
1. That might not happen anyway
2.They aren't going to be making sequels forever
3. This getting out effects her more then the movie or any of her fans

That is my vent.
I also must say, and DramaQueen (Caitlin I think.. I'm Liz by the way) you really have to check out the HSM thread. The people are saying how much they hate Vanessa. I wanted to post something but I knew they would gang up on me.

Unless it's a documentary, it's not going to be realistic. And even documentaries don't always represnet the truth. I think that the argument that the Disney stuff isn't realistic is a bit irrelevant--most of them involve very extraordinary circumstances (from future, beign psychic, living in white house or hotel, or being a popstar, being wizards). Being good and realistic isn't the point or goal..besides making money, the idea is to teach chldren morals in comedic and entertaining way. If the parents think this is happeneing, you'd better believe that theyw ill push it and buy all the merchandise. Beond all of that, we do have to keep in mind when critiquing that the audience is under 12s, not teens.

ok i'm sick of this not the threads but the news i wake up and mi mom says Disney changed their mind 8 years old have no idea about a celeb's personal life some don't even know her real name and call her Gabrielle my sister and her friends are mad that she was fired but don't know why who's going to tell an 8 year that some they like have nude photo everywhere and the Internet not a lot of parents monitor her there kids and even so they would be on an innocent site and somthing pops up what happens when its her that pops up i think she is herself and taking a turn for the worse if Zack did break up with her good riddance

I think you're pretty much the only one on my side in this issue.
I totally agree with you.
Her pictures have NOTHING to do with HSM, I even read that HSM3 might not happen because both Zac & Vanessa are demanding more money.
So if it doesn't happen, the blame doesn't lie solely on Vanessa.
I hope if they fire her Zac walks. (if they are in fact, dating)

I have never read the HSM thread but I figured they would be talking about Vanessa so I looked at it. I was laughing reading "I hate her now!" and "I'll never look at her the same way!" How is it even possible to genuinely hate someone you don't even know? It just makes no sense to me.


About Disney movies being unrealistic and all that stuff: I posted about this before and it may seem like I'm saying two different things but they are unrealistic and in almost every case that is the magic of it all. When I posted before I was forcusing on the Disney CHANNEL movies. Not the Disney classics. But like me and Caitlin said, this whole thing has nothing to do with HSM.

Vanessa did not break up with Zac--she was with him as recently as a few days ago in Australia to support him for the Hairspray premiere. She may still be there with him. And she didn't get fired from Disney--read the news. Disney is keeping her, but states they hope she's learned a valuable lesson. And hopefully she has and will take this lesson to heart.
