Vancouver-Langley Any BCers? Help!

I have to fly to Vancouver on Business in February and 2 of the accounts I need to see are in Langley. Where should I stay? Is it too costly to cab it there from a hotel maybe close to the airport? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A cab from the airport will still be expensive; can you rent a car? it's a fairly easy drive direction wise, but traffic can be bad if you hit the tunnel or the freeways at the wrong time of day.

There's a Hampton Inn, Sandman, and some other economy chains around Langley. The airport area has significantly more choices.

Yes, it will be enormously expensive to take a cab from YVR to Langley as it takes around an hour to get there depending on time of day, area of Langley, etc. That said, some options are to rent a car, or see if flying into Abbotsford airport would suit you--especially if you are flying Westjet-- it may be possible.
If you do need to stay in a hotel in Langley, the Coast hotel is very nice complete with a new casino complex underneath. There are also a couple of Best Westerns around too, depending on the area in Langley. Langley is spread out over the freeway, so you need to clarify what part you are looking at also. I'm sure if you go to hotels.ca or expedia.ca you can find something.

I'm going to the Pharmasave Head Office, and the Overwaite Head Offices. They are both in Langley.

I agree, stay at the Coast hotel. It opened last May and is really, really nice. We stayed there this past summer. The rooms are nice, clean and you have duvets and comfy pillows and I love that the mattress wasn't hard. You can't hear anything from the casino in the room. The food from the restaraunt was good as well.

A taxi will be over $70-$80 CAD each way. I had to take one from the airport about 2 years ago and this was the cost to a house just short of the Langley border. Ouch. Definitely rent a car. The drive itself is pretty easy.

It is pricey for a cab, but if you're expensing it to a company - it doesn't matter

I'd look at staying at the Sandman Inn at Hwy1 and 200th Street in Langley/Walnut Grove. It is very close to the Overwaitea Head Office (less than 5 mins) and has a lot of restaurants and pubs/shops nearby.

Just my opinion, but I know the area you need to be in.

I'd also look at flying WestJet and going into Abbotsford. It'd be a cheaper cab ride and may even be a cheaper flight - sometimes the Abby airport offers incentives to fly into there instead of Richmond.
