Hello

Just wondering where people stay

Would only be for one night and no time really to look around

Pan Pacific prices no way 😝

Found one called the burrard which is ten mins away. Anyone stayed here. Good price and reviews

Other options appreciated

Thank you 😊

We stayed at the Fairmont, right across the street from the terminal. It is a bit pricy, but great location...we drove up from Portland, OR. Hint: The night before you cruise, no matter where you stay, walk/drive to the terminal and get familiar with it. There could be multiple ships docked at the same time and you should know exactly where to go...look for the big white gloves. Also, there is a multiple layered parking garage under the terminal which is "fun" to navigate, if you drive. This cruise is truly awesome...bring a camera, coat and binoculars...lots to see. Cruise on...

We stayed at the Pan Pacific, but my go to for hotel reviews and traveler pictures is Trip Advisor.
You should be able to choose a hotel from there.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific. I made reservations at several hotels thinking I wouldn’t be willing to pay PP prices. I was able to book PP for $250/night via Priceline. So glad we stayed there! I recommend you keep looking- you might find a rate you can live with.

The Auberge and the Marriott aren't bad. Definitely cheaper than PP. BUT. They are several blocks away. That is the trade-off at this port. Closer is costlier. But this is area is also the edge of the city financial district so prices are a bit stiff overall. If you can swing it, staying at the PP is SO much easier for boarding.

Any of the hotels right by cruise ship port are good hotels with Fairmont PAC Rim being the nicest. Pricey but worth it if you want a luxe hotel. Great live music in hotel lobby every night. I’d try Priceline and see what you get. If you are flying into yvr forget renting a car at take the Canada Line skytrain to waterfront station - it will take you right near cruise ship port and hotels.

I booked at the Hyatt Vancouver for the night before our September 2020 cruise. It looks to be about a 10 minute walk or a very short cab ride. Using my AAA discount, I got a rate of 279$ including taxes...

We stayed at the Hyatt for an Alaska cruise in 2015, two nights before and one night after. Although certainly walkable (in fact we walked over there on the day before the cruise departed), we took a taxi to and from the port since we had luggage to manage and are no longer of an age where we are willing to fool around with moving it ourselves. Taxi fares were about 10 CDN$ each way as I remember. I was thinking I would check on availability of Lyft or Uber in Vancouver when we arrive for the Vancouver to Hawaii cruise next year. We’ll be staying at the Hyatt for three nights prior to that one.

In May 2016, my family of 3 stayed at the Hotel Blu Vancouver. It is located close to the BC Place stadium.

The room was nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. Then, on the morning of embarkation, we took a cab from the hotel to the port.

We had to decide to spend a reasonable amount on the hotel and add a reasonable cab fare, or spend a really high amount for a hotel that was within walking distance of the port.

We enjoyed the Hotel Blu Vancouver, and took advantage of the nice weather to walk around the area and explore the Vancouver Public Library that was only 2 blocks away.

We stayed at the Delta - all suite hotel a short downhill walk to the ship and is Marriott-owned, so able to pay with points should you have them. Restaurant was really good as well!

We just cruised last month and used free nights/points with Hilton to stay at the Hampton Inn Downtown Vancouver. They have a free shuttle to the port that we took on embarkation day. Good location for the extra day we had pre-cruise - we walked around most of the day.

Booked Pan Pacific on Hotwire as a "Hot Deal" for $217 per night. Cruise is in nine months so that may have helped in finding a better rate.

I wanted to use Marriott points and stayed at Delta. Loved it. Staff was amazing. Will likely stay there again next August.

The Blue Horizon was great. Short walk to Stanley park plus the Capilano suspension bridge bus stops right out front. 10 min walk to port. Food options close plus Whole Foods just down street. The room was huge and the kids loved the pools and hot tub.

We stayed at the Auberge. It was a good location. Only a couple of blocks walk to the terminal. It was an easy walk with our luggage.

We are currently at the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle and it’s a very nice hotel. It’s about three blocks to the port and we are going to walk to it in the morning for our cruise. Downtown area seems very safe.

Another vote for the Hampton Inn on Robson. It’s a nice hotel within walking distance of restaurants, Stanley Park, etc. The free shuttle to the port and free breakfast are nice features.

We have cruised to Alaska 4 times and stayed at the Days INN just a few blocks up from Canada Place, very walkable...

We can second this hotel. Not too far at all from the port, easy walk to Stanley park (a little long but do able),good views of the port and pretty much a regular hotel experience. So really what you would expect from a downtown hotel.

There was one thing that made the difference. Our room was a little delayed and there was a minor issue with getting some food later. In both instances everyone went out of their way to help. Management and staff seemed to really try to be helpful to correct the issues and to also compensate for the problem. While problems seemed minor and possible to happen at any time they gave us a complementary cheese/snack plate with drinks as well as other things to apologize.
