Vancouver airport help please!

There are sometimes flights leaving between noon and 1pm, they'll get you back east in time for a connection on the last flights if your city requires a connection. My family and I did that a couple of years ago, it worked out well. Also, we did Fri/Sat/Sun around Vancouver before our sailing, so we were ready to head home right after disembarkation.

I went on a DCL to Alaska this past summer. I flew in the day before and stayed at the Fairmont. So worth it! However, I regret not planning on staying in Vancouver the day of disembarking. I barely made it to my flight. Staying and flying out the next day would have been a much better option.

We also live on the east coast, FL to be specific. We stayed in Vancouver one day after the cruise and flew out the next day. Our flight was at 6 or 6:30am.

Thanks. I agree... I just feel rushing off the ship to catch a flight that's going to get us back home at midnite is not a great way to end a vacation!

Finally planning for our summer Alaska Cruise!

We are going to fly in 3 days early to enjoy the city and give plenty of time before the cruise. My question is how to fly out. We are flying to east coast, most flights leave mega early or mega late! What is the earliest realistic flight do you think we could catch the day of disembarking? OR if getting a late flight of 10 or 11pm, what would you recommend doing that day with luggage, etc? I would hate to "ruin" the whole trip by either rushing when getting off the ship, or lugging around luggage all day and trying to stay awake for a late flight. I guess the advantage would be sleeping on the way back!

Or plan B would be to stay in town that Monday and fly out the next day.

Any advice or prior experiences would be greatly appreciate.

We had your same situation last year and stayed the night at the Hampton Inn closer to the Airport. It was ok for our entire group of 11 in total and they had a free shuttle to the airport which it was a great.
