Best wedding gift my ex and I got (my first marriage in 1979) was tickets to a Van Morrison concert at one of the old Boston theatres (The Orpheum I think). It was SOOOOOOOOO good. Favorite song...I guess if I had to pick on it would be Moondance.

I LOVE Van Morrison. He has this incredible album with The Chieftains called Irish Heartbeat. A lot of Celtic poems/ballads put to traditional Celtic music, and an original tune or two. One is even in Gaelic. I always felt like a geek for loving this album so much, but VM has the most soulful voice on it. I love his stuff. I was never really into The Doors (although I dated the drummer from a Doors cover band called L.A. Woman! ), but I find Jim Morrison sexy in a dark, brooding sort of way--that whole Lizard King thing.
