values - adjoining rooms

Adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to one another, so basically all of the rooms are adjoining.

Connecting rooms have a door inside that you can open to go between rooms without going outside. Yes, the values do have some of these.

I'm not nit-picking here, but people have made the mistake of asking for adjoining rooms and were given rooms next to each other without the door. I just want you to be able to request the correc thing. :thumbsup2

Can't speak for all values, but we stayed at POP last year and had adjoining/connecting rooms with my in-laws. We requested them at check-in and had no problem.

I requested connecting rooms at ASM and we arrived early in the day. We were told that our connecting rooms were not ready. I had had an infortunate incident on the Magical Express, another guest vomited on me (projectile, loads of!) So I explained that I really needed somewhere to wash off and change. The CM suggested I use the restroom for now, so I complied and returned to the desk. The rooms were still not ready (I think the previous parties were still in there, even though it was after 12noon). So, not wanting to bother the CM, I said," no problem, we'll go to the parks and come back in a few hours". Before I left the desk I said to the CM, "You're sure the rooms we are assigned are connecting, yes?" She answered in the affirmative. Sure enough when we got back from the parks the rooms we were given were not connecting at all. I went down to the desk and the same CM was no longer there (shift change?) and the new CM told me "It's high season, there are no other rooms, you were never assigned connecting rooms, take these rooms or leave them, we have nothing else". This was the start of my worst ever trip to WDW,and it went downhill from there. So just be aware, you may be lucky, you may not.:wizard:

As PP describes connecting rooms is only a request, not a guarantee. If you must have 2 connecting rooms look into the suites at all star music. They are actually 2 connecting rooms that has been converted into a suite with different beds/furniture than regular rooms.

Either the previous occupants did not vacate or someone else came along and raised a stink and they gave them your rooms.

Did you have adjoining or connecting? I just want people to realize there is no such animal; it is either adjoining or connecting.

I appreciate the clarification! I would have asked for adjoining rooms and we'd really like connecting. Thanks!
