value season/view ? re. POFQ

would most of you say water view room is not worth the extra $ at POFQ? What is the price difference between the two?

I'm also interested in answer to this question. Just booked POFQ for $74 std view (AP rate) in May and declined to upgrade to waterview. Now I am questioning my choice. What do you out there think? Thanks

ok here's my opinion - in reality i don't know that view means that much - at a moderate like FQ you don't have a balcony off your room so all that View mean is the View out you window - and really how much time will you spend Looking out of your window - in fact a standard room and a "water" view room could be right around the corner from each other just facing different directions - i think you made the right choice - say it's ten dollars more a night for the Water view room and you are there for a week (6 nights) that's sixty dollars you can spend on a special dinner or gifts for your kids - really i thing "view" selection is overrated - stay with the standard.

The difference in rate is $15 during Value & Regular seasons and $25 during Peak and Holiday seasons. We stayed at POR twice and asked for a corner room (2 windows), courtyard view(no extra charge), 2nd floor. The first year we had courtyard out both windows, the second year we had courtyard out one and the sassagoula out the other! ~~
