Just returned from 4 nights at a Value studio at AKV. I made a request for a room close to the lobby, we got room 5112, which is the second room on the right on Ostrich trail. It was perfect and we even got a view of Sunset savanna. In the distance we could see the lobby windows of Kidani village. Room, view and location were perfect!
There wasn't much to see on the savanna most of the time. Although once late at night I sa 2 giraffes feeding on a tree right near our balcony. That was nice.
One morning I walked over to Kidani Village and thought it looked very quaint and cozy, much more intimate than Jambo House. It also felt more remote. Before I went there I thought I wouldn't like a room overlooking the parking lot at Kidani, but after seeing it I think you wouldn't notice it too much, since the lot is rather narrow and even the lowest rooms are quite high up so unless you look straight down you would just see the nature area on the other side of the street. I also liked how the pool area at Kidani is built right into the wetland area.
