We are booked to stay at art of animation in December but my dad is no longer going with us so we were going to stay at a moderate resort but had to buy a new car. My husband and I still want to try and go so I need to marks it as cheap as possible. Our son will be 2 in September. I've heard the value resorts aren't the greatest and since well be spending more time therefor naps and all I want the nicest. Thank!

I've stayed at AS music, AS sports, and AS movies. never tried POP.. my opinion is you'll be fine at any of them. last time we stayed at AS Music it was like 2 years ago and that's where we are staying in late May. my daughter especially likes the games at poolside starting like 4 or 5 pm like bingo, dancing, hula hooping, water balloon toss, and movie at night at pool. hope this helps. fyi as far as your two year old remembering disney, they won't after a while but will love it now regardless.. i took my 3 year old to hawaii for 10 days over christmas. she's now 9 years old and doesn't remember going. just knows how to say waikiki and honolulu ...that's ok it cost like 7000 dollars and she doesn't remember. what to do what to do... i know go back so she will remeber lol

Thank you! I know he won't remember it but we want to go and we won't be able to go for several more years because we most likely will be having another child next year. How was the bus situation? I've heard horror stories about the buses and wait time etc.

The value resorts are great in my opinion! You are still on Disney property and they are just as clean and beautifully maintained as any of the other moderate or luxury resorts. We've stayed at the All Star Movies twice in past trips and planning on staying there again our next trip later this year.

I think the difference in the resorts as compared to the other moderate or luxery resorts are the amenities offered and the size/style of your room and resort. You don't have any sit down and made to order type of restaurants. The values have more of a caferteria style, fast food fixings. You also don't have the luxeries of say a spa on site. Rooms are small but fine for our family of three with our dd being 5 years old. She's always loved the resort, loves the huge disney character statutes and themed pool! It's all bright and colorful and kid friendly too. Always lots of kiddos with their parents running around but we never had any problems with going back to our room for quiet, nap time in the afternoons! And our last room was even facing the biggest pool.

We never waited more than 10 minutes or so for the buses. But, the good thing was there were always other kids around waiting too so my dd made friends to play with real fast that occupied her for those few minutes waiting!

We've stayed at ASMo(once), Pop (three times) and ASMu (twice) with our two boys and we haven't had a problem. ASMu is our favorite, and Pop is a close second.

I really dont know why people pay the extra to stay at the others, you r never in your room, We are at the park or the pool. I think at lot of people just like to brag about what resort. I love the all sports, I have stayed at all the values and that is my favorite, and the bus is the best, first off and on. I feel like pop has way to many people, but do like the pool and the walk around the lake. You just cant go wrong with the value, save the money and stay and extra day or two, thats what we do

we usually rent a car but take the buses when going to MK just because when you drive a car we have freedom to travel at our pace and be able to hit shopping areas and NON DISNEY food at times plus hit a walmart or target. Bus wait time was good except for one time we waited maybe 15 minutes but then again I hardly use the buses much. I will say that there is no SHADE at the bus stop so with a 2 yr old you may hang back at building to wait or just inside the building so as to Not Melt in summer heat...

Ditto here! I've stayed at Movies 2 or 3x, Sports 4x, Music 6x and Pop 3x. All are just super. Bus service is a crap shoot ANYWHERE! I just got back from AKL Kidani and had some of the worst bus service I've ever had.

Music is my favorite, though I like Pop
s food court better.

I think this is a little harsh and judgmental. You may never be in your room, but that doesn't mean others are not. We have stayed at all levels of Disney hotels and we don't care for the values, but that doesn't mean they aren't perfectly lovely. Since we are a family of 5, values don't really work for us. Secondly, we spend quite a bit of time at the pool and my kids love a slide, which the values don't offer. We also like to eat at TS restaurants for dinners and don't always want to travel beyond our resort to do so. When my children were little and still took naps, we adhered to their schedule. That means we were always back at the room for their regular nap times and bed times, so we spent quite a bit of time in our room. In addition, we usually take my mother, who has a degenerative eye disease. She doesn't feel comfortable depending on busses for her transportation since she can't really see the name of the destination on the bus. It makes her life much easier to be at an Epcot area resort or a monorail resort where she feels she can travel more independently and not feel like she has to stick with us. For my family, and many others, for a variety of reasons, it has nothing to do with "bragging" and it is offensive for you to imply otherwise.

OP: I think I would probably go with AS Movies since it has the themeing that your child will most likely be able to identify with. A couple of years ago we stayed at Pop and while it had some great icons and themes, my kids, who were @ 10 had no association with a Rubiks Cube or a Big Wheel etc. They weren't really able to connect with the 60's, 70's and 80's items. But, they would definitely, even as preschoolers, been excited to see the Dalmatians, Buzz and Woody, etc. Good luck with your decision.:)

We love POP! Have stayed there 3 times and plan to this fall too! I've heard the others are great too.
