We tried ASmu for a night on our last trip. We hated it. It was loud, many of the people rude, and when we went to eat the language that we heard should have been in a bar. The food was wonderful though. I have to believe that the values can't always be like this because sooo many people love them. Which one would you recommend or is this just some things you over look because of the cost?

We have never had this problem and we always stay at ASMu. Remember no matter where you go there will be people that don't know how to act!

We stayed at ASMu in September 2008 and also hated it! Last month, we stayed at POP and fell in love with it....Great people, great room, great food. We didn't find anything we didn't like about it. We are DVC members now, but if I had to choose a Value resort again, it would definitely be POP! :thumbsup2

We fully understand that people can/will act badly everywhere, however, we have stayed at many Disney resorts both mod and deluxe and NEVER had anything like that happen. Actually not even in the parks. It was that bad.
Maybe we can try POP next time. Thanks again

I think with the values you can sometimes be unlucky as big school/sports groups are more likey to stay there, and obviously un-supervised teenagers are going to swear/shout a lot. I'm sure the resorts would try hard to put you room away from known big groups though.

DH & I have stayed many times at ASMu & never had any issues. However, our worst stays have been at POP & we won't go back there again. JMHO...:rolleyes1

This was my only issue with ASMu.. I stayed there twice and the first time it was quiet and we had no issues at all.. but the next year, we got stuck next to a Brazilian tour group.. we couldnt even go in the pool!

I think it is just luck of the draw when it comes to people. We've seen great guests at ASMu, mixed at PoP, encountered a drunk half naked man spewing the most vile obscenities at OKW, absolute worst overall rude people at Poly. But upon visiting these places on future visits everything is different, worse or better. Never can tell by just one time.

I'd go to whatever resort theme & location suits you most.

We just got back from our first stay at ASMu and didn't encounter this at all. We usually stay at POFQ but it was just my DD and I so we tried ASMu. We enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at pop last year for 10 nights and there were 4 of us. We loved it and are going back again this year for 9 more nights! No problems with noice, rude guests, etc. Good luck with your decision.

I agree- the luck of the draw. It's not normally bad.

We stayed at ASMU in 2007. It was okay. We had several negative interactions with the conceirge desk. They were very rude and unhelpful. As far as the room goes it was good. We stayed at POP in March and the cast members were amazing. The concierge desk was soooo nice and helpful. We will go back to POP but not ASMU.

I think rude guest can be found anywhere, but the problem that I have had with Values is the noise factor at night. We have not gotten much sleep on the past 2 trips we have spent at values. last trip it was ball players, and the time before cheerleaders I think. We are going to go deluxe this time because of this and the queen bed for DH and I and the bunks for the kids.

Depending on your neighbors the deluxe may not be any better. The loudest resort we've ever stayed at was AKL, savanna view. We had the kid from H E double hockey sticks next door. His clueless parents thought their little angel was adorable and didn't understand why several of their neighbors kept reporting the little demon. He thought it was hilarious to bang on our connecting door every morning around 6:00am screaming "wake up, wake up, in there". They were also heard laughing at him early every morning as he ran down the hallway knocking on everybody else's door, again screaming at the top of his lungs "wake up, wake up". Late at night you could hear him jumping on the bed and again banging on the walls and screaming while the parents laughed at his antics. After the third morning of this, we finally called downstairs to complain and were told by the manager that they had already been warned the day before, after someone else complained about them, and that they had already been reported again that morning and someone was on their way up to talk to them again. A few minutes later you could hear the dad getting irate with someone outside their door, yelling that 'he was just a kid having fun and people should get a life. There was absolutely no reason for anyone to have reported them'. We then heard the two doors across the hall from us open and two men joining in the conversation that the little demon had been a loud, obnoxious brat all week, disturbing everyone on that floor. We really thought there was going to be a fight between the three men. Some people just don't have a clue about manners. It doesn't matter what level of resort they stay in.

To the OP the quietest rooms we have ever had at Disney was at AS Music, POFQ, and Boardwalk. Again all three levels of resorts. Just FYI: we have also had loud neighbors at the WL and CBR.
