We are planning on being in Orlando the night before our 2 week Disney vacation starts at the Poly. I was originally planning on just staying at Buena Vista Suites that night but with the 15% discounts on room only I started thinking one of the values might be better or more fun.

Price is right BUT it sleeps 4 and the wife and I have three kids, 12,10,5. :(

Has anyone ever manage to get them to allow a one nighter in a regular room with one extra kid?
:)

Not doable due to room limits but you could do Pot that allows 5, :)

No. Limits are set for fire codes and safety.

POR would be your least expensive standard room option for 5 people.

No. I wonder if you get caught if they would also cancel your Poly stay without refund. I wouldn't risk it.

One night offsite is an easy choice before moving onto property, we've done it a couple times. A Value resort won't fit your family unless you do a Suite and those are a lot more expensive than Buena Vista Suite will be.

Port Orleans Riverside looks like a good option. I don't mind paying more than BVS if I get to experience a new resort.

We've been to one of the Value ones, the Contemporary (we love), and now the Poly.. POR sounds like it might be pretty nice to see for a day.

thanks :)

If I stay at the POR for a night, when I wake up to go to the poly will they transfer all my luggage or do I have to do it?

They'll do it. Just take it to the front desk and let them now and they'll have it sent to the Poly. It can take quite awhile, so if there is anything you need to have for the day or even before you hit the sack for the night I'd keep it with you.

Can't be done unless one person is under age 3. Only exception is the AS Music and AOA family suites.
