Value Resort AP Rate for Mid-August

I'm anxiously awaiting the AP rate for mid-August. Does anyone remember what the rate was at a Value resort last year from mid-August thru September....or can you give me an idea of what the discount normally is during the value season?

The last three Septembers we've gone with the Free Dining pkgs, so have not used the AP discounts, but for the last several Decembers (also Value Season) I think I've paid $49.00-$59.00. AP rates were released for last year around June 20th, I believe, so you shouldn't have much longer to wait.

Thanks for the info. Was it $49 for standard and $59 for preferred?

Would not count on a rate that low for August though. Last August it was more around $69 for a std value room, $77 with tx.. August AP rates do not tend to be as good as December rates.

If I am mistaken, no doubt someone will correct me!

$94 per night moderate resorts

Hi I just called........I'm not sure if the value season falls under the dates 7/16-24th but the rate I got was $104 with an AP discount and that was for POP standard.

Does that sound right?

no, AP rates are only out till Aug 2nd. I have the same rate as you, well 5 bucks more, I have a prefered view. They should be out within a few weeks

If that is not a typo and your dates are July 16th thru July 24th then it is not value season, but summer season (5/26/08-8/2/08) at the value and mods - value season begins August 2nd.

Still that does seem high for an AP rate - mousesavers lists AP rate for summer season at POP std as $94 plus tx, which would be $105.75 with tx.

Maybe keep trying? Good luck!!

the 94 plus tax is not an AP rate! they are not out as of yet! they are only out TILL AUG 2nd. That is the regular Value rate, I know. that is what I got, and I am waiting for the AP rates to be released. The OP said her time is MID-AUG, not July.

LOL..I have been rude? I was replying to a poster's (not the op) question about AP rates for 7/16 and you posted that my info was incorrect, when it is correct..so who is causing confusion? I was trying to help the poster by answering her question - 7/16 - 24 would be summer season, not value. Value begins August 2. I was not responding to your post or any information you posted - it was an entirely different date.

Just popped onto this thread for info as well....looking for great Ap rates in MID August......
never mind...will handle this another way
