Does anyone have advice or experience with eating breakfast off site (staying on site) to save money? We will have a car and more specifically, are there any places maybe near the Goodings shopping center to eat breakfast?

What do you think are the best value breakfasts on site?

Thank you.

McDonalds of course is always a choice, and there is one by Goodings. There's also a Perkins or Denny's over in that area if I'm not mistaken.

We think one of the best "values" on site is the BW Bakery. Lots of choices of great fresh baked pastries and rolls and such and a cup of coffee is under $4.

I don't know if you are on the dining plan, but I have heard you can use a snack credit toward some of the breakfast type items.

I would think by the time you used up gas, you would be losing more than you save.....You can bring cereal with you and buy milk at the resort. Or pick up a box of doughnuts to last two days(not the most nutritious, but they sure are yummy)

Where are you staying? We stay at mods and have breakfast at the food courts. They also have grab and go markets there as well.

Get some breakfast items - stash them in safe place in the resort room.
If you are at a WDW moderate or deluxe there are refigerators free to use - will keep milk & juice cold.

We shower, eat and run in the AM - We can get everything done within an hour. We never want to spend time away from WDW in the morning.

We find the morning hours the best at the Parks and would hate to waste 30 minutes for breakfast.

We always do a late character breakfast on an early entry park morning.
So if we go to MK at 8 am - we do CP at 10:30 am.
Also good is Chef Mickeys in the CR, 1900 Park Fair in the GF and 'Ohana in the Poly for a late breakfast on a MK 8 am entry day.

It looks like all the kids breakfast meals are 3.59 at the resorts. Anyone can buy a kids meal there. That is about the best deal you can get. Even a biscuit and juice is almost that much at McD's and you have to use your gas too.

I would think the waste of gas, and time spent going off site - would not be worth it! :confused3

Thank you for all of your replies. I should have mentioned that we are disney vets, this is our 15th trip, our 10th to the Swan and Dolphin. For most of our stays at the Swan and Dolphin, we were on club level, so a quick breakfast was covered. Before club level (yacht club and Grand Flo.) we would do early park, then eat a late breakfast. We know the different disney routines. We are looking at trying something different this trip. The gas money is not an issue and neither is the time.

I guess what I was hoping for was some insider information on maybe some great local spots.

Thanks again for your replies.
