Hey there we go to Disney once a year and our yearly trip is coming soon! :cool1: We have stayed mostly at the moderates but have stayed once at a value (All Star music suite) we have the option of staying at two connecting rooms at the POR royal rooms river view or a suite at AoA -- I love the grounds at the POR it makes me feel like I am on vacation but the kids are really liking the animation features at the AoA and we want to be comfy without tripping over each other! What would you do?? we are staying 5 night 6 days!!

There are pros and cons for each. Two rooms at POR would be more expensive, and you aren't guaranteed connecting rooms. A suite at the AoA would give you slightly less space than the two POR rooms, and you'd have three beds vs. four at POR.

The pluses: POR has a sit-down restaurant and a pool with a slide. You'd get four queen-sized beds. AoA has a kitchenette with a microwave and a fridge with a small freezer section. This gives you some additional meal options that could save a little money. AoA has a really great pool, and it's got some features that other values don't have (covered bus stops, suite buildings have interior corridors).

I don't know what your prices are looking like, but if its anything like our trip was before a friend that's a CM got
Us the friends and family discount, the saveology deal on Animal Kingdom Lodge may be a better deal:

(Please note: While Saveology will give you stuff for referrals, this is not a referral link, per the terms of Disboards)

It appears you can buy multiple for longer stays or to give you two rooms, just note that if you are going to be there over a weekend, you would have to pay the difference between weekday and weekend nights. I would call and ask of you could pay the difference for a room that will fit everyone as well.

Thanks for your response-- we get good rates because we are florida residents so the money thing isnt a big deal to me what is most important to me is feeling like I am on vacation I am really leaning toward POR I just love the property and the greenery- and we love the boat ride to DTD....but I love that pool at AoA arrrggggg wish I could figure it out

You won't fit in a suite unless you have a child under age 3 - assuming there are two adults, you are a party of 7. Unless I'm wrong and there are suites that take 7? Of course, if you have an under 3, you'll fit, but it will be tight with the crib/pack-n-play (if you use one) and the murphy bed/table set up.

If you can afford two rooms at POR, I'd definitely pick that over an AoA suite. I'd even pick two connecting LM rooms at AoA over a suite, just to more bed space.
