We are going in September for 3 nights and will also attend the first MNSSHP on 09/05. We are two adults and a 10 month old. I currently have the ASMU booked, but I am considering changing to the Poly.

WE are planning on renting a full size crib from a babys best friend for the trip instead of using the pack and play. We are florida residents, so we are bringing a few "toys" (bouncer, etc.) to keep baby occupied while we are in the room and she is not sleeping.

We went when she was 6 months old, but we stayed in a 2 bedroom DVC, so room was not a problem there.

I'm just looking for a little advice on whether or not to do the upgrade. Thanks!

if you are doing the party i would upgrade.
Much easier to get back to the Poly after that and they can bring up a crib for you.

Assuming that the cost is not an issue, I would make the change. There is not a whole lot of room in the value resorts. With a full size crib, it will be hard to move around while the baby is in it. Also, with a deluxe, you can usually go out onto a balcony or patio while the baby is sleeping in the room. With the value, someone would have to be in the room. I think you would enjoy the extra space.

It's honestly a personal decision. If you would feel more comfortable at the Poly then go for it. However I think you will do just fine at a value. I think it also depends on where you plan on spending most of your time. If you're going to spend it at MK & Epcot then maybe a monorail resort is a better decision.

With a 4 yr old that's where we spend most of our time but sadly we're not staying at a Deluxe this upcoming trip. We just don't have the funds for a deluxe and if I can't pay for it, I don't go.

If you think you can afford the extra cost I would also go with the Polynesian. Besides it being very close to the Magic Kingdom as a Deluxe Resort they offer a lot more amenities then the Value Resorts, so it would not fair to compare both Resorts based on that fact.

We stayed at Pop for our first trip a couple of months ago. While we liked it, we're planning on staying at the Poly for our second trip (next year). We want to try something different, would like to stay at a monorail resort, and we like the theming of the Poly. It's more expensive, but hey, it's Disney! It'll be worth the splurge, kwim?
