Hello, May have to change plans and have to go the 2nd week of August 11-15, or so. Thought it was going to be expensive at this time, but noticed that the value season rates kick in in this time frame. Is it crowded at this time? What are the resorts and crowds like? I have been the very end of August before, but not this early and figured it would still be the Summer rush.

lots of the school in the South go back in August.

hot and humity - so the elderly don't like it either.

be sure to drink water.

it's not bad crowd wise this time of year. It's WICKED hot though. Parts of the day are more crowded than others. But the most we waited for a ride was 30 minutes TOPS.

it's not bad really. you just sweat...but you get used to it after a day or so. I prefer this time of year to the ridiculously packed holiday season. I don't know how people stand to pay holiday prices to be packed into the parks like sardines and endure long wait times for rides...then again we go for the decorations during that time of year!!

Anyhow...it's not a bad time to go if you can handle the heat.:thumbsup2

I was there this past August and the crowds were not too bad - but the HEAT was horrible!!! We tried to avoid being in the parks during the middle of the day and that helped!
