Value Accommodations/AKV Studio?

Anyone know the difference between value and standard studios at AKV?

Value is smaller space wise.
value is only at Jambo house - can be parking, pool or savannah. You don't get to pick - you have to take what is given.
really liked the value pool view - it has a back stairs which is short cut to the buses.

standard is bigger than value.

standard at Jambo is generally swimming pool.

standard at Kidani is parking lot, garden, some of the swimming pool

Yes I do. The value rooms are about 3' shorter than the standard (hallway to balcony) They are located in the front of the resort on the giraffe and ostrich trail. They face either the Jambo pool, the Sunset Savanna, or the front of the resort.

The standard rooms at Jambo all face the pool.

The value rooms are only at Jambo House.

The value rooms are still pretty roomy. We just stayed in one in June. We requested savanah view and that's what we got!

Don't have the time to post the pics again, but if you click on the link to my trip report on the bottom of my post, you can see pics of the room. It might be on my second or third entry. (Not on the first entry, as we stayed a night at CBR first, before switching to AKV.)

there is not a king bed option in ANY of the studios.

(there is not room for a king bed in the value studios.)

Both have a queen bed and a pull out full.

All studios at AKV, including the Value studios, have a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa.

all the DVC studios except for OKW have 1 queen bed and 1 pullout sofabed (i think it's double/full-sized).

OKW studios have 2 queen beds.

no real options...that's what you get if you book a studio.

The Value rooms are less expensive because they are smaller, so it's about the size of the room and not the view. The number of points required does not change based on whether your Value room faces the Sunset Savanna, the pool area or the parking lot.

You can request a particular view but it is just a request and not a guarantee. However, the majority of the Value rooms face the Sunset Savanna or the pool area so your chances of avoiding a parking lot view are very good.
