I just arrived and seem to have lost my driver's license at the airport. I bought tickets online which I printed. They say they require a valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Does anyone know if there's a workaround for this? I have the credit card with my name on it but no photo ID. Thanks for any help/advice!

If you are picking up tickets at the kiosk, you only need your credit card. Hope you find your driver's license as getting back home through security at the airport will be an issue.

If you have print-at-home tickets, you won't need a credit card or an ID. If you ordered your tickets for pick up, you get them at the kiosk and only need your credit card. The only time you need a photo id is if you need to pick up an order at Guest Services. Just be aware that most places that you use your credit card on property may ask for photo ID before allowing you to use your credit card to purchase items.

Thanks for your quick replies! I'm relieved that I'll be able to get in. I have print at home tickets, I'm with my husband who is doing the driving and will be able to make any purchases. Getting on the plane to home is my next hurdle!

FWIW... from http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/acceptable_documents.shtm

Passengers who do not or cannot present an acceptable ID will have to provide information to the Transportation Security Officer performing Travel Document Checking duties in order to verify their identity. Passengers who are cleared through this process may be subject to additional screening.

Get there EXTRA early and be prepared for questions.

I had to fly to Miami 2 years ago for a conference. While I was at the conference, I sat my bag down looked away and it was gone. It had my id, credit cards, airline ticket, and money. I had my family drive down (8 hours) and pick me up. Afterwards, I learned that Bank of America (if you use them) would have made me an emergency id card and I would have been able to get cash as well. They have your photo on file if it is on your card. Also, the airline said if I would have filled a police report I would have been able to take my flight home. Hope that helps somewhat. I would call the airline and see what they suggest. I didn't think of anything at the time and regretted it later.

I dont think I would be able to enjoy my vacation if I had lost my DL, and I was due to be flying home...I would be a frantic mess...

As PP stated, you WILL need your DL if you are using a CC to purchase anything inside Universal...I found this out the hard way when I visited recently, and left my DL in my car along with all the other crap in my purse...between DH and his card, and some very polite TM's, I was able to use my card at most places..

Just be ready

Stop at Guest Services and ask for the phone number to call the police dept. for a lost Drivers License. You then call the police and tell them what happened and they will give you a number called a "case number". You give that case number at the airport and you should be able to get on the plane with very little hassle.
