I'm going to purchase the Tables in Wonderland card, and you get free valet parking with that. I've never valet parked in my life....what's the standard tip and do you give it when you get out or when you come back to pick up the car?
Normally you tip for good service - when they return your car to you. When we valet park we usually give the attendant a $2 tip. Once in a while if the guy is really friendy or I'm in a great mood, I'll give him a $5.

We valet park every trip when eating at the GF. Here are a few tips: If you're a resort guest beware, they will scan your parking pass and still charge your valet fee to your room. We have spent many morning at the front desk of our resort getting the fee taking off. No matter how many times we have told them and showed them we are TiW members. So now, we go through the guard gate, and we take the parking pass and put it away. Also, don't forget your dinner receipt. We used the valet service at GF THREE times last month and they asked for the TiW card and the restaurant receipt every time (as indicated on the TiW rules). This is the only way they will waive the fee (at least at the GF). We always tip $2 at drop off and $2 at pickup. Unless it's raining, then we up it a few dollars more. I always recommend folks who get free dining (DVC or TiW) to check their room charges mid-trip to see if you are charged, because it's easier to deal with it during your trip, then after you checked out.
Thanks to all for the info, and especially for the heads-up about the valet charges! The next two trips I have planned we will be staying on-property....and with my TiW and the AP I'm sure I'll be going back a lot over the next year!

This needs to be stressed. Free valet parking in conjunction with the TiW card is only valid when (the general) you dine at a restaurant in that resort.
