Is this possible or should we try something else:

On one of the days of our trip, we are planning on going to GF for dinner and the Pirate & Pals evening cruise at Contemporary. We wanted to go to MK in the late morning/early afternoon and it was suggested to me that we drive to Contemporary, valet park, take the monorail to MK, take the monorail to GF for the dinner, then take the monorail to Contemporary for the cruise and to get our car.

Thoughts?

That will work. Or if you're staying on site you can park at the TTC for free then take monorail or boat to MK, then monorail or boat to GF, then monorail to Contemporary.

We stayed off site and planned our meals and activities almost exclusively on site. We planned meals and activities at the resort closest to our park and valeted and walked into the park. We did valet at CR for both our MK days...took midday breaks and were waived right back in upon return. Was super easy!

The only problem might be if there is something going on at the MK during your time. They might not let you park at the Contemporary.

The OP specifically said they have a reservation for the Pirate & Pals Cruise at the Contemporary, so why would they not be allowed to park there?

I agree. Though not that the poster you are quoting is doing this, but I have found people on this board to be against people valet parking and going to the parks. I have been chastised many times for utilizing this strategy on our trip many times being told we violated WDW policy...we were lucky we were not towed etc. It was actually on these boards where we were given that tip and then we planned accordingly so that we could use the valet to access the parks easier. We did dine at those resorts to make it easier(though we did move from one to another one day b/c we wanted to eat one place and then go to MK). We paid, we tipped(every time we moved our car in and out during the day) so what is wrong? I actually called the valet stand to ask if you could valet and just go to the park and was told yes. I see no where on the WDW website that valet parking is for paying resort guests with a valid reservation any way...so if that was the policy it should be posted. I don't know why certain topics get undies in a bunch, but this is perfectly legit. I mean why pay for valet to dine or do an activity and then move your car to the park lot you plan to visit. That would be a huge waste of money.
