What time does it open when the parks open at 8am? I plan to be there an hour before park opening since we are staying offsite! Thanks!

I would imagine it opens quite a bit sooner than park opening. There is hour early entry for some off-site guests... and I would imagine they would be open for valet too.

But thats just my thoughts I dont know that.

Sorry, gonna hijack for a minute. Does anyone know how much closer valet parking puts you to the park?

i've seen a map posted before, but in general terms.

For the regular decks, You have a short moving walkway that takes you from the deck to the center "hub", then past bag check there are 3 sections of moving walkways into Citywalk. (That doesn't include the walking you need to do from your parking spot to the 'front' of the deck, and any escalators/stairs or moving walkways you need to take to get to the bridge to the hub).

From Valet, You just go up the escalator and have only 1 moving walkway section into Citywalk. You also do your car drop-off/pickup almost right in front of the escalator.

Its a MUCH shorter distance..... however time-wise leaving it can vary and sometimes be competative with regular or preferred parking since it could potentially take some time for them the fetch your car when you leave, especially if there is a line.

How much is valet?:confused3

And "Red Carpet" mean they will get your car back to your within 5 minutes. Never really seen the value? :confused3 Even on busy days I've only waited 15 min or so.

Tell me honestly, the Red Cartpet deal , is it really worth it, and where abouts is the walk, also would this put me closer to getting into the park, like ahead of hundreds that park in regular parking areas.

I honestly don't see the value in it... but others might. It really is a subjective thing. Do you want your car right when you get there ready for you? or are you willing to just sit down and relax for a few minutes while they fetch your car?

As for if it puts you closer..... Yes, technically it does, and the biggest advantage might be that you get to bypass the big bag check bottleneck (Valet has it's own bag-check guard). But you are still merging with the crowds on the way into citywalk, and then going with the crowds to the parks themselves.

Google Map View

In this link you can see the 2 parking decks and the central round hub. The Deck parking bag check is at the entrance to the long bridge over Universal Blvd.

Valet parking's entrance is that little blue covering connecting to that bridge on the other side of the road. You then have to walk thru citywalk to get to the parks.

also, keep in mind that the onsite guest water taxi's also drop you in the middle of citywalk.
