Valet parking?

I have rented points to some friends who were wondering about complimentary valet parking at VWL. Is that a perk of DVC resorts?

This is a member perk. It does not apply to renters. Most times we have been asked to show our blue member cards, but others report valets being somewhat less restrictive.

Technically, the perk is for members, not for renters. They may get valet parking at DVC resorts by showing their room key, but I have been asked for my blue member card.

I've had to show the blue membership card except a couple of times.

we are staying at SSR but would like to take a wander over to BWV one night. As we are DVC members would we be entitled to valet parking at BWV even though we are staying at SSR

I stayed at a non-DVC resort this Christmas, but got free parking nearly every day I was there, since we were always asked "Are you DVC members?" They never asked "Are you staying at a DVC resort?" I always answered truthfully, but I am not honest enough to volunteer information.

While I've heard of many situations where the blue card was asked for, I do not recall hearing a single instance where anyone staying on points was denied a perk on the basis of not producing the card. If some have, I'd love to hear about it. But technically he valet parking is a member perk and I don't think even guests are entitled to it.

No one who stays on-site pays for parking at the parks. It is a perk of staying with Disney.

I've always found the valet folks extremely helpful and courteous. They really aren't that interested to trying to make people pay and are just doing what they're told. Whether you have to pay for parking or not, please keep in mind how these folks make their money and leave them a tip. We usually tip them 2-3 dollars when we arrive and another 2-3 dollars when we leave.
