On our last day at a VWL, I was loading the car with a bellman when we noticed a new ding on the passenger door. I asked the bellman if he would mind getting me a supervisor so I can report it.
The first thing he says, is "let me warn you that they are not Disney employees. They are from an outside company". I spoke to the supervisor and he said he pulled my ticket and they noted some scratches on the side door when I brought my car in. However, since I had another scratch on the same door, there is no telling which one was being marked. Therefore, he said I have no claim even though I know it was a new mark.
When I asked if I could speak to his boss the answer was he isn't here right now. Then I said can I have his name and phone number, and his answer was, I need to see if I can reach him and see if I can give that information out. I asked if I can file some claim or complaint so I have something in writing should I try to follow up after returning home. Again, I was told no because there is no evidence of this happening while in their possession.
I was frustrated and had the whole family waiting for me, so I left. I managed to get the name of the company he worked for but that is all. I'm sure nothing will come from it but I sure wish that Disney would take over this responsibility at their resorts! At the very least I would think they would speak to me with more respect and in a pleasent manner.
