I know there have been numerous parking threads but I'm looking for a quick answer. I know resort parking is for guests. However, can you utilize resort parking if you use valet parking (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian) and pay the $25 fee to hop the monorail to the parks?

Maybe. The valets frequently will allow you to park there and not worry about how long your car stays. However, at peak times and especially at the monorail resorts and BW, it may not be allowed.

Is there Restaurants that non staying gusts can use at the above resorts ?

How does one find the resort car park and is it allowed to self park ?

Is there a security check point ?

Anyone can use the resort restaurants.

The parking lots are clearly marked at the resorts. You can self park for up to 3 hours, while you are visiting the resort. During very high crowd periods, this may be restricted to only guests of the resort and guests with ADRs at a resort TS restaurant.

All resorts have a guarded security gate at the entrance.

Of the MK area resorts, the only one I would valet at just to use the monorail to get to MK is GF since it is the next stop. From Contemporary, I would walk since there are 4 stops to MK. From Poly, I would take the boat as I always find that I get a delay on the resort monorail between Poly/GF or GF/MK stops.

Also, make sure there are no monorial down schedule for the day you want to use it. There have been down times mentioned due to maintenance lately.

Generally speaking, valet parking is always going to be an option. There are a few times when it isn't an option....if there is a convention going on or some other special event. These types of things usually take a ton of valet spots. But that doesn't happen all that often.

So am I allowed to Self Park in the parking lot of G.F. walk into the hotel have a coffee & then take the Monorail to MK , get off,

& join the Q for Return Trip .?

And am I allowed to do the same and use the boat ?

Not entering Parks but just to see the area.

Why would you want to just "see the area"? There isn't really anything to see at the entrance to MK.

To ride the Monorail & take pictures of the area & Relax ....... get some Disney Vibes .

Boat ride the same ..... and to see other people enjoying themselves

Sel-parking at resorts is not provided for park access. That is what the park parking lots are for.
Who is entitled to park at a resort?
1. Those paying to stay at the resort. They are welcome to park at their resort and go anywhere they wish, be it a park, another resort, whatever.
2. Those who have business at the resort. Whether eating at a resort restaurant or shopping there, or availing yourself of some other activity. If you eat at the resort but then wish to go to a park? You are expected to move your car.

If you aren't actually at a resort ( dining, shopping, sight seeing), your car shouldn't be, either. Unless you have paid for valet parking. Parking at the TTC would be cheaper.

We decided to valet at the Contemporary for our Chef Mickey breakfast then head over to MK. We valeted at 8am and picked our car up at 12:30am with no problems at all. This was July 9th (into 10th). I tipped at both drop off and pickup.
