Valet parking at WDW deluxes up from $12 to $15 now

Well, that's going to impact a lot of people. Have to wonder if the main parking lots are going to increase their rates as well. We are always suggesting to those that have to pay to park any way, to just valet park and be closer to some parks than using the main lots.
Looks like Disney is seeing an upturn in valet use.

i much rather valet and take a monorail or just walk for contemp than take a tram plus a monorail or boat. We always stay at yc anyway and valet so it costs nothing.

The main parking lots are staying the same at $14. With tax and tip the true cost of valet is about $19. And Disney did see valet parking rise as people used the valet trick to park close. The hotel parking lots, self or valet parking, were never intended as theme park parking. They were always intended for the resorts guests and ADRs.

I was told two weeks ago when I was there that they will go farther if the price increase doesn't reduce the usage. Hard closures are a real possibility. That means resort guests and confirmed ADRs only allowed in the resort parking lots. Hopefully not, but the twenty percent of folks who look to get around rules (the lots are posted for no theme park parking) always cause these sort of reactions.

People should also know that DVC will not have free valet now.

It's about time .... If everyone followed the rules there wouldn't be a problem...valet was their escape.... Park in the park lots, we've never had any issues with this and never used valet service on property....things go for awhile, Disney catches on and plugs the loop hole...

How does it get you free parking? Everyone pays for valet.

DVC hasn't had free valet for a long time now.

Here's the problem with this....both Disney and valet CMs have told us for years, that you can park at valet and go anywhere you want. It's not against the rules.

BUT..it would be nice if Disney did something to change the way the resort parking lots are used/regulated. Should be easy enough to do. Those who are staying at the resort just use their room key to access the parking lots. Anyone wishing to use the lot for ADRs, shopping...they can get their ticket validated (within a set amount of time) and they are free. Miss that free window of time and you now pay to park.

I think the PP means they paid at YC so don't have to pay again the same day. But on the other, yes, DVC hasn't had free valet since 2009 I think.

yes I meant I pay to valet at yc anyway and you can go to any other deluxe prop and not pay again up to 24 hrs

and I have a TIW card and you can valet for free if you have a adr and show your receipt
