Valet parking at the Contemporary for MK?

I'm curious if they will allow us to valet park at The Contemporary before rope drop and stay parked there all day? Until after the fireworks?
Does valet parking have in and out privileges?
Can I valet park at one resort and move to another and not pay again?

Looking for my best possible transportation options for our MK days. We are staying off site this time and will have our car.

Thanks!

Yes, typically it isn't a problem.

If you leave and go somewhere else you can show then your receipt. It'll just cost you tip at both places.

Can I ask why you would want to do this? We stay on site so get free parking but just use transportation. But I am curious. Valet parking is $20 plus tip. Theme park parking is $17 with no tip. The only park I've ever parked at was Animal Kingdom last year.

Which is easier? Spending $20+tip to be within walking distance of your car from the gates or parking with the rest of the patrons and having the deal with either a bus, monorail or boat ride to get to the TTC to then get on a tram to get to your car wherever it is...

I thought you could only park at a resort if you had a reservation at a restaurant within the resort you're parking at?

Valet is fine.

One reason -- the reason I hope to make this work -- is if you have a disabled person with you. Valet is free with a handicap placard, and it's much easier to deal with that than with TTC.

I have done lots of searches on this question, and the consensus answer seems to be that you can do it just fine if you can get past the guard at the parking lot, who may turn you away if you don't have an ADR that can be looked up.

Yes this will totally work. Tell the guard you are going to valet, unless they have closed off valet he should let you through.

You can also do valet at Poly and GF and they have a boat or monorail that may be easier for the handicapped then actually walking/rolling to the MK. WL just has buses or boat no monorail.

They will probably check to see if you have an ADR just to let you through the gate. (In our experience the past few times we have visited the CR)

Getting to my car at the TTC after WISHES is going to require a lot of time and effort, as Mousehockey37 stated above. For a few extra dollars, I will just have to do the quick walk to The Contemporary and hop in the car there. I figure it will save me at least half an hour, probably longer. My kids are small, so this is important to me. It's worth the money. When we visit the other parks getting to my car at night won't be such an issue so we will just park in the regular lots.

Technically you are only supposed to be allowed to park at a resort if you staying there or eating there and then it's only supposed to be for 3 hours. If you are staying at a resort and get valet parking, you can use that to valet park at the other resorts for each day you have it.

Now, will you get away with it? Maybe, if as others have said, the guard even lets you through without an ADR. Most of the resorts no longer give you the little parking pass to put on your dashboard so no one will know you aren't staying or eating there. Would I do it? No but that is just me, if it bothered me to park at TTC, I'd take a cab or uber to CR and go from there.

You have to have an ADR and they make you show it to them at the gate. It's actually really annoying. We wanted to go there for drinks one night with friends who drove and they WOULD NOT let us through!! I think it's because it was so close to MK fireworks time, but nevertheless, it was annoying!

Yeah, they've really tightened things up there over the past couple of years in our experience. We tried to visit one day too and couldn't get in. It was ADR or hotel guest only.

But anyone is welcome to park at the TTC and monorail around to the various resorts.

Our experience also! We were staying at BLT but had family staying offsite. The guard would not let them through just to visit us unless they had an ADR.

I just wanted to pop in and thank you for thinking to valet your car as opposed to trying to lie to the guard and taking up a resort guests spot.

Its a pet peeve of mind to pull in to park the car and the lots full, when you sure as heck know the resort isn’t at 100% occupancy.

Your best bet is to valet at the Poly and monorail in
Your reasons are your own. They have valet you are paying for it. I don't know what the valet rules are for all day
but if you abide by them you are fine.
Have a great vacation

We wanted to have dinner at Capt. Cook's at the Poly last Saturday because we love the pulled pork sandwiches. We never pass through Orlando without stopping for one. We have stopped there many many times and had no trouble parking in the regular lot or valet without a reservation. Last Saturday was the first time we encountered any kind of trouble. I told the guard why we were there and that we wanted to valet. I never asked to park in the regular lot, and in fact, I didn't want to park in the regular lot because on that day I had my 80-ish year old Nana with me and she is recovering from a fall/surgery, and I wanted her to be able to get out of the car right in front of the lobby. Plus I knew we were getting there around the same time the first Spirit of Aloha show was starting and I figured the regular lot would be full because of that anyway. The guard went on and on about how the regular lot was full, and for resort guests only, and that the only parking was at TTC. I mean this guy was really ranting at the top of his lungs and turning beat red at the same time. I again explained I was there to valet, not park in the regular lot. He finally let us through to valet, but was clearly not happy about it. When we pulled up to the lobby I asked the attendant if the valet lot was getting close to full and the guy kind of laughed and said not even close. Maybe having the handicap tag will yield better results. Good luck!

It's not about valet or not, it's about getting past the guard, in our experience.
