Valet Parking at DLH

I have a question about the valet parking at the Disneyland Hotel. My husband is a little fussy about his car. He's willing to pay extra for valet parking if that got him covered parking in a parking garage. But if his car is stuck somewhere in a surface parking lot, we might as well self-park. Does anyone know where valet parking is?

I believe the valet parking is in front of the hotel. To my knowledge, none of the hotels offer covered parking for valet parking.

FWIW, I might have mis-understood the signs, but while parking in the PPH lot, I saw spaces reserved for Valet.

Ohh - you're right - valet for PPH probably is in their covered parking structure. forgot about that one.

We stayed at DLH last July and our car was valet parked in the garage. They asked us when we checked in if we planned on using the car and we said no, so I assume that factored into the decision to park it there, instead of the outside parking area.

Thanks, rappaport. We'll only need the car on Saturday, so we'll mention that to the valet, that we won't be needing much access to the car. Maybe my husband can specifically request the parking garage.

For what it's worth, I think the valet parking at DLH is insanely expensive, especially if you don't plan to use the car very much. Depending on how long you are staying, it might even be cheaper to buy a cover for the car than to pay to park it in the garage. Then at least you can use the cover after the trip. At $17 per day plus tip, you'd have to be pretty particular about the car to justify the expense...

When we stayed at the DLH last May, they allowed us to park in the PPH parking garage as long as we displayed our parking pass. You may want to check about that before paying for valet.

We've parked in the DLH parking garage with our hotel parking pass, too. Parking is part of your resort fee. Valet is the only thing that costs extra. Now at the GCH - the valet is "under the hotel". Their guests have to use the surface lot.

Hey, Nancy, there is parking under the GCH? I never saw a road that goes under there. Is this new, or something I've probably never noticed?
